How many days holiday followed jan 1st this year was it 1/2/3 days official places were closed.

Depends where you are. In England, Wales and N.Ireland it's 1 day in Scotland it's always two days holiday at New Year so January 1st and 2nd for us.   Just January 1st for the rest
