Hi, We have several flights booked throughout the year with Monarch and have just recieved an email telling me that there are changes to my flights (5 flights in total ) and that I need to accept or decline the changes. Upon checking my tickets there are no changes whatsoever everything reads the same. I have tried to phone them but it is impossible to get through. Has anyone else had a same email. Shall I just accept it and hope it just a computer error on their part. Many thanks in anticipation.

We had the same last Autumn with Easy jet, but there were actually no changes to the flight times!
-
I booked for Sept with Monarch last week. No email...........yet :'(
-
Just had email for our may flight, only change was on return flight 20 minutes later,so no problem..
-
We had e mail from them regarding our August flights from Manchester, only 15 minutes later than original times,so accepted
-
Tuesday night return flights to Manchester departing 23:20 instead of 23:05. We've accepted, there's not even a need to alter the transfer. Also we had some changes to flight numbers although the schedules were unchanged. I think these changes are acceptable as Monarch manage to get their flights published so early.
-
I could understand if the flights had changed by 20 or 30 minutes, its the fact that there is no change to any of the flights.
-
We've had two lots of flight number changes but time and dates still the same.
-
I've had this a few times with Thomas Crook and then again I've sometimes had them change times and not inform me!
-
Booked with them for August, no mail though,
-
These often minor changes seems to happen around this time of year. I was told that around this time the airports confirm the actual time slots to the charter airlines

We are booked to fly out in April and we have had two emails notifying changes. The first was a 20 minute later flight back and the second was a change to pre-booked seats. It seems they have a new policy of moving people from aisle seats to middle and window seats, for "operational reasons". This is depite their website clearly stating that you can pick your seat and it lets you do it. There is no online option to resolve this, so you have to to call them at 10p per minute to do anything about it.
-
Not sure of your selection but I noticed with Monarch pre-booked seats that people were booking the aisle and the window leaving the middle seat free - a good way to get extra space as unlikely anyone is actually going to select that seat (between two strangers) Maybe Monarch have decided to stop this so they can sell more pre-bookings?
-
Booking the aisle and window should really be stopped for two passengers travelling together as its is usually a way to try and get more space.
Anyway - if we did it we'd probably get some smelly lardy sat in the middle :)
-
We booked the aisle and the adjacent middle seat in the extra legroom area. I am pretty tall and benefit from an aisle seat. My wife, not unreasonably, likes to sit next to me. So, I think we have booked responsibly and in accordance with what the website offers, in terms of seat selection., for which we paid extra. I can fathom no justification for moving either booking, given thay have allowed these to be booked in the first place..
-
I agree and cannot see why they would need to move you. Maybe they think an aisle seat on its own will sell better than a window seat. That's not your problem though in my opinion.
-
Once you have booked a priority seat and paid for it they should not move you unless its an exit seat and you are not able to meet the exit seat criteria. This they would not know until you were on the plane I would assume.
The only other reason is if they changed the plane type. If this is the case you should be offered your money back.
Its funny (not) how they make it really easy to take your money but rather more difficult/impossible to get it back.
-
It's sure to be in the terms and conditions that they can move you if they want.
-
we had the same message from Easyjet, when I spoke to customer services they told me to ignore it, so why put it there in the first place!!
-
flying with monarch 6th may i checked in online yesterday so i guess no changes for me this trip. ;D
-
I've have booked flights with Monarch and also received a change in flight times, but still the same flight times! : :)
-
Are you sure it's not just a change in flight numbers? That's what we got but the times were the same.
