TC have reduced prices from Stansted, not the best flight times for our dates but £200 cheaper than Easyjet Since the MP'S were told to use the budget airlines prices have risen so i'm blaming them.  8)

Does anyone know f you can still take more than one case within your limit? I have in the past taken two but it was some time ago.

T.C. Allow one case each person, you could contact them and ask it you can pay for an extra case before you travel.

I had a look through the website and couldn't see any reference to the number of hold bags :(

I have always assumed one per person.

We have taken more than 1 case per person with TC. They used to work on Max weight only where as most others work on 1 bag and max weight.
Things may have changed this season though so I would ring their customer services.

For £40 TC allow you an extra 10K.  You can book it as an extra.  This one way only but better than getting lumbered with charges at the airport.

They still work on maximum weight.  Below is a copy of my chat transcript with flythomascook.

10:30:02 AM [Brian] Hi, my name is Brian and I will be assisting you today.
10:31:03 AM [Margaret] Hi Brian, I have purchased 20 kg of hold luggage for my flight. Does this have to go into one suitcase or can it be split into two smaller ones.
10:32:48 AM [Brian] Hello Margaret. You can split the luggage into several cases, however the total amount should not exceed 20kgs.
10:33:05 AM [Margaret] Thanks for that Brian.
10:33:23 AM [Brian] Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
10:33:39 AM [Margaret] No that is all. Many thanks

Ray1951, you can purchase extra weight but it much more expensive than you quoted.

One thing to note is, if T.C. have passed the flight on to a Turkish Airline, they have different hand luggage limits.  Last year T.C. had done this with our flights.  We wanted to take our future D.I.L's wedding dress  as hand luggage and it was over 5 kilos packed.  After a very long process which also involved the Trading Standards. T.C. directed us to the Website of the Turkish Airline so we could find out how much and what weight hand luggage we where allowed.  Turned out that we were allowed 8 kilos each on this particular Turkish Airline, even though the T.C. Tickets said 5 kilos each.   My D.I.L took her Wedding Dress as Hand luggage and no one even bothered to weight it at the Check-in.

Thanks Margaret. I wondered if this was still the "case" as I have done this previously
