I was checking flights to Turkey with TC and whilst I know that they sometimes use other companies such as EasyJet and Thomson, I was surprsie to see them now using Pegasus for some of their flights. Must be selling off their own aircraft, as it's certainly NOT because they are over booked, not with the prices they are charging.

Nothing new here Ray. They have been sub-contracting for a while now. We booked T.C. last year and the flight was with Pegasus. Flights from Aberdeen are always full and they could fill more flights if they put more planes on. In September the flights where booked up months in advance and some of my son's friends who where attending his wedding had to go to Glasgow for a flights. People in Scotland are used to paying high prices and as T.C. are the only company that fly from Aberdeen the T.C. flights will always be booked up.
This year we have booked with T.C. and they are sub-contracting to Free Bird for the flights.
I have to say we much preferred Pegasus last year that T.C. Their planes have more leg room and are more comfortable. The food is better than T.C. and you do not get the hard sell every 15 minutes. So, you are free to stroll up and down the aisle without bumping into a trolley flogging booze, cigarettes and snacks. ;)

Ray is expecting to see half empty planes this year because of TC's high prices. That will not happen. TC flights will all be full.

Ray 'doesn't' expect to see planes half empty because they will just sub contract less. As far a Pegusus is concerned, they are my preferred choice. The service, leg room and food are excellent. Problem with sub contracting flights is this: they do not always offer the same facilities. I'm flying on a Thomson flight although my holiday is with TC. Thomson do not offer meals or the bundles (meal, extra luggage & choice of seat £28), so that doesn't please me.
