Title: Bank note colour change

Turkey's central bank has announced that it will change the color of the TL 5 banknote in an effort to put an end to confusion with the TL 50 note, which is similar in color.

According to the Official Gazette published on Monday, the new color of the TL 5 note will be purple. The new version of the banknote will start circulating on April 8. The current TL 5 and TL 50 notes are quite similar to each other, resulting in confusion on the part of the public..

The Turks seem to handle it ok, ive never had a 50 back in my change instead of a 5,  (just my luck yeh)   ;)  :)
