Title: General Banking Question
Post by: Scunner on April 12, 2013, 15:58:08 PM
Relating to another banking topic but a general question for people who know about banking...

If you used your (Bank of A) cash card in the ATM of (Bank of B) and you were told you couldn't have any money - but the money was still deducted from your account...

Who should you take your problem to - Bank A or B?

Bank A, because your account is with them and they'll be able to access all the information that they need to deal with the matter with Bank B.

However, if the ATM is at or inside Bank B's premises it's probably wise to rattle a couple of cages there too.

Thank you both - you have written exactly the opposite to what "Bank B" said. Of course I know you are both correct.

I don't think I even know the owners of half the ATMs I use on my travels, let alone know how to contact them. I shall report back - thanks again.
