Title: How much would you need per month to live on?

Good Afternoon All,

I realise it's a sticky topic, but lets ask anyway......

How much very roughly do you think you need per month to live on as a couple?  Taking into account, eating out a few times per month, few Efes etc, difficult question I know.

Threw this question open an hour or so ago (to the incumbents round our kitchen table this evening) and none of us - as couples - reckon we could do it for much less then 5,000tl per month - if we were going to have a comparable lifestyle that is.  Bear in mind that several of us own property both in Fethiye and Istanbul and have/do spend a fair bit of time in TR.

If it is full time in the 'Bul then 7ish was reckoned a minimum.  Down south, 5k.

You could do it comfortably on half that.

I live here  4 bed house plus run a car £700/£800 a month no problem including all bills .you would have to be out everyday for meals on that budget .

Well, if Ian Duncan Smith can manage in the Uk on £53 a week -------------------------------- :)
