There's a video here from one of our members - will give you an idea of the walk/area.

I really enjoyed that video, I feel as if I've had my exercise today now, not long now and I will try it myself :D
-
Me too! It was a good fix! I watched a couple of others too.

I used to walk from Hospital to Fethiye when it was the old road along the sea front, this walk at one hell of a pace would take me just over one hour, it was like training for a Marathon walk, but walked at this speed to keep warm at the time.
Again would often walk the route when the road was closed to traffic and it would still take just over one hour at a brisk pace and not stopping for a breather or take in the views.
We walked from our villa starting at the new BP Petrol Station, we are now 9 years older and non the wiser, this walk took us just over 2 and half hours, stopping for coffee, sitting at every opportunity to take in the views; to say we were totally puddled by the time we arrived at the culture centre, too tired to walk round Fethiye, hence now we have a car.
From Lissa it is still a little raw until just after behind the BP garage, but good paved area to push a buggy all the way.

Where can we get off the dolmus from Calis to make it a shorter walk along the new prom? 2 hours is maybe a bit much for me in the heat - prefer about an hour's worth!
-
Try between Pork Shop and Tax office take a walk through the aparts and villas to the sea front even from there a nice steady pace will take an hour.
-
Get off at the BP garage Sue, it is an easy walk from there or stay on until Tansas or the Tax office roundabout if you want a shorter walk. Plenty of hostelries along the way to enjoy!
-
Thanks both. I don't know what the tax offices look like but can surely spot the BP garage or Tansas - looking forward to the stroll (and refreshments)
-
Takes us 50 minutes from behind Genpa to town square, looking at how long it takes others proves my point that John walks too fast and I struggle to keep up.
-
I'm a 'stroller' - none of this power-walking malarky for me. I do laugh at some people who seem to think that simply by walking with their thumbs pointing upwards, it turns them into super-athletes ;D ;D
-
I agree with Loz
Take the Dolly to the pork shop, get what you need and then stroll down to the prom and onwards to Fethiye or Chalis. Great walk , lots happening and lots of places to stop.
