Title: Soft drink prices !!
Post by: Sleuth on April 25, 2013, 20:51:30 PM
Now  its getting ridiculous !!!  around  Hisaronu  `iced tea `  in bars and  restaurants ( and being served in a can ) are priced at 4tl per can  :o  ... when you can buy the same cans  in Bim ( in centre of H )  8  cans  ( same brand ) for  4tl !!!!  same with cola  4tl in some places ...  make a profit yes but thats a rip off... also some bars this year charging 9tl  for a glass of wine ( and the cheap plonk )   no wonder Spain and Portugal  are  gaining more bookings this year ...

Nearly as much as a rip off as UK pubs charging £1.75 for a coke that comes out of a squirty thing. At least you are getting proper stuff in a can.

Getting very expensive for a small cappuccino too! I don't drink alcohol but costs more for a coffee or a fruit juice!

Agreed. As Stoop and I will both bore everyone to death with, in Portugal there are bars (pleasant bars) where beer, red/rose/white wine, all soft drinks (330ml cans), coffee and tea are ALL one euro each. And unlike some places, the wines - even at 1 euro - are very nice.

Well we do both Turkey and The Algarve most years and Keith is spot on. Love Calis for the laid back holiday (our own place - our own pace) but drinks are much cheaper in Portugal and the food is less rice and salad ( if you get my drift).

Best of both worlds I guess  :)

Is that the Ces market Des??  near the Oykun..  I have seen that being mentioned before as selling cheap Efes.
However, would not take the delivery from them after a previous delivery experience, but would go and pick it up.
