Any one know what to do with large black snake?
Found it in my empty pool!
Don't want to kill it.... Don't want it too near the house or my cat...
Over to the panel!!!
-
call the zabita
-
Anyone know the number for the Zabita?
-
Kill It!!!! it could be pregnant, or going to be pregnant or going to get its mate pregnant!
Orf with it's head!
-
Photo ? Has it got any friends near bye ? What do you mean by BIG ?
-
Zabita is 153
-
5ft long... Caught it and got it in a bucket... (Steve Irwin style)
Waiting on the Zabita....
-
Get it to join CBF, we got a few slippery ones on here. ;) :)
-
If you've got it in a bucket, take it out to the marshes and let it go. The Zabita will probably just freak-out and kill it.
-
Cook it ;D if done right it should taste like chicken. Considering the price of meat at this time you could have a bargain : :)
-
Sadly nobody can have a leg though
-
I agree wıth KKOB just let ıt go ın the marsh land or rıver ıts probably a water snake.
-
I think the "let it go" option is the best.. Can't be killing snakes.
-
Is it venomous?
-
Suggest whilst in bucket take it down to our favourite money changer (in Fethiye) and when he says CHANGE
Just say TAMAM!!!!
-
Letting it go seems to be the general consensus BUT I'd sh*t myself. Would you be able to 'transport' it to a place far enough away to ensure that it didn't come back - YIKES ! Good luck.
-
take a pic first, I want to see it!!

Did you manage to release it ok Barry ???
-
Yes... Took it on my scooter, still in the bucket(with lid).
Went out into the countryside and let him slide out into a field.
Try and put the photo on in a mo.....
-
eeeeeek
-
Well done for letting the snake go! Even if poisonous, still deserves a chance to live, part of the ecological system............ we also poison the earth - more so than this snake!
-
Well, done, Glad the snake is now free. I would not like to see it killed just because it was a snake. I agree with Lissa.
-
So pleased to see this thread and the result. Letting it go the best thing.
Snakes will always try and avoid us nasty humans, most snake bites come from
people surprising them and it is just a defensive reaction. I once lived in a House
that had an attic with snakes but we rarely saw them, once in the Airing Cupboard and
very impressed the way it "shimmied" up a pipe and back home to the Attic.
Hurrah foir Hissing Sid!

Don't forget the photo Barry.

Good man. The likelihood is that it was a Black Whip Snake, and they are good for keeping rats and mice under control and I believe they aren't venomous. But don't hold me to that, LOL!!

Look after it - it is commonly called a game keeper snake here as it is non venomous and eats rats and mice.
-
Surprisingly I thought we only had the one venomous snake in the UK, but
after the recent elections and watching extracts from Parliamentary debates I realise there are hundreds!
;D ;D ;D
