Yes, they will be in the proverbial as will several places in The Paspatur.

Several years ago they used to serve alcohol in ceramic beakers around the Old Mosque.

I wonder if the Christian church held each Sunday in the Ernur Hotel constitutes a place of worship? If so it's going to be difficult as the congregation gathers in the bar before and after the church service.

And how will they be able to claim that this move will be to the benefit of the Turkish economy and not purely made for religious reasons

Well that's all the bars in Uzumlu Village having to close then.  Plus all the shops having to stop selling too.

I believe also that all bars past the (cross roads) roundabout such as PJ's are to be closed. Maybe more of the same. ?

I heard not sure if its the truth or not, that will not be renewing or granting any alcholol licences in that area because its residential.  So we have Aydin Pizza, the bar/restuarant opposite, Asparva, Palms(now called something else) and PJ's.  All depends I suppose what gets put in a brown envelope lol.

I was always under the impression that the crossroads was the cut off point anyway.
What I don't understand is why the lokantas on the main road are allowed to serve alcohol yet are slap bang in the middle of a residential area.  Or perhaps they too will have their licenses revoked.

That's assuming they have a licence in the first place of course; a lot of looking the other way has gone on and not necessarily with the exchange of a  "brown envelope"   ;)
