Does anyone have any info on the 'new address classification'??? Nope, never heard of it either, but my neighbour is trying to renew DASK and the insurance company (AK Sigorta) have asked for this information. Thanks

We were told about this the other week when we sold our apartment.
Apparently all addresses in Fethiye are now registered and given a number.
You need this number to renew Dask amongst other things.
They are going around ( haven't got very far yet ) putting little plaques beside the doors with numbers on them.
Our address had actually changed!
we were in Sok 543 but it changed to 545 under the new registration system!
Once you get your number you need to keep a note of it.
We didn't actually have it before we renewed the Dask but they were able to find it on a system somewhere!

We had our number plaques done back in 2007/8, The Sokak has change by approx 1000 numbers, no one uses it, bank, insurance, post etc.

This happened to us as we renewed our residency earlier in the year. We had to go to an office in the old court house then across to an office in the Belediye Office where we received a statement with the new address on. This new address has now been put in our residency and we have to keep a copy of the statement with our tapu. In 7 yrs of being in the same apartment we have had 3 addresses but were told we now have our new official one!!!!!!! Time will tell!!!

Yep this was the problem I reported in the related thread http://www.calis-beach.co.uk/forum/residency_turkey_visas_work_permit_questions/how_change_address_residency_51488.msg321798.html#msg321798 (http://www.calis-beach.co.uk/forum/residency_turkey_visas_work_permit_questions/how_change_address_residency_51488.msg321798.html#msg321798) and the next step on how then do we change the address for RP and other purposes. Answer is available on that thread, but of course it does mean you have to bear the costs, time, effort and grief of arranging the change :( :(
