That is indeed horrific. Our thoughts are with the poor lad :( :( :(
-
Not sure if he lost his legs but we know the woman who was first on the scene and she said his legs were very badly torn and very badly crushed.. Poor little lad.. a terrible thing to happen at any time but how bad to happen on your holidays... Thinking about him.
-
Have just read this on " Mail on Line", what a dreadful thing to happen. God Bless, little chap.
-
Sounds horrific, poor lad, very sad indeed.
-
On a Turkish website it says that the boy hasn't lost his legs. According to a press statement made by the hospital in Antalya, the boys legs are severly damaged with broken bones and cuts.
Apparently a car lost control and hit a parked van. A British family was sitting in the van, which shot forward when hit by the car. The boy got crushed between the van and a wall.
-

This happened down by the surf cafe drunk driver crushed the lad against the wall were they were filming the james bond film it was not in fethyie i can assure you as the press stated driver was arrested and is in prison and some of us here know who he is.
-
Yes it was in Calis, not that wall though, it was a bit further up, just past Jiva and next to the apartments still currently being built. There was a video posted on facebook. :/ poor kid. I think they saved his legs though, lets hope he recovers fully.
-
He stıll has hıs legs but has lost one knee and ıs currently undergoıng operatıons on both legs.
-
Just been told the driver was only 17 and did not have a licence,he was going far too fast. Some Turkish guys pulled him out of the car and gave him a bit of a doing.
-
I heard the opposite, that the driver jumped out of the car and ran away.
So many stories going around. People like to talk.
But what does it matter. It doesn't change anything.
The outcome is the same.
A little boy whose life is changed forever.

An update. It was the first day of the court case yesterday. Marks father and his sister attended. Marks father was able to put his feelıngs to the court and it was upsetting for him but he stood up well. The driver stated he hit the dolmuş and the airbag inflated and he lost control of the car. The fact that he did not have a driving licence did not seem to worry hım. The judges wanted Mark to come over for medical assessment and it was pointed out that he cannot travel on scheduled flıghts only by air ambulance. This cost 45k each way so not an option. Also Marks depression and mental health does not make thıs vıable. Mark is undergoing more medical treatment on his remaing leg this month. The driver was also in court for damages to 2 Dutch tourısts who were travellıng on the Dolmus. Next court date ıs May to receive medıcal reports from Turkısh hospitals and an assessment from UK hospital. The press were at the court yesterday and Marks Father made a statement to them so a report wıll be in the local press this week.
-
Not sure there could ever be a result that could be called 'good' out of this truly horrendous situation, but I do hope the family achieve the verdict they are hoping for.
-
Just to let you know that this court case is still ongoıng and we are still awaıtıng reports from 2 hospitals 1 turkısh 1 englısh. Just been to court and next date for continuance is 23rd December. Mark is still improving slowly and is back at school catching up on the year he lost. He is still in a wheelchair and receiving treatment for his injuries.
