Title: What was the first single you ever bought?
Post by: sandgrounder on June 06, 2013, 19:51:58 PM: If it's a good one I'll play it on my Oldies show on www.mightyfm.co.uk (http://www.mightyfm.co.uk) on Saturday morning :) Show runs from 10am until 2pm!

First one I ever bought was "Couldn't get it right" by The Climax Blues Band way back in 1976 :o

Post by: Ian on June 06, 2013, 20:17:28 PM: Oh Russ - this is so embarrassing - I was 13 in 1965 - I started pestering my Mum to let me buy Tired of Waiting - The Kinks - but she wouldn't give in - until 2 weeks later and when I went into the shop the No 1 was - It's Not Unusual - Tom Jones - so I bought that because I wanted to have my own Number 1 record - oh nooooooooo

Morningtown Ride - The Seekers. I had been bought a Dansette Bermuda for Xmas but no records! The only shop open we could find had this on sale second hand. I still know every word ;)
