We have been using A2B for our transfers for 4 years now and I have also recommended them to many others, apart from the odd long wait at Dalaman generally we have been very pleased (particularly for the price), this time there are 14 of us out for our daughters wedding, so called them today to confirm the pick - ups for 4 of them tonight, only to be told that from this week they no longer pick - up from residential addresses and they would have to make their way to the main road or the nearest hotel !!, I expained they had a young baby and lots of luggage and you actually dropped us off at the apartment, this all fell on "deaf ears" and was responded to by "attitude" !. It's really sad when this happens as they will not get our custom again and I will certainly NOT be recommending them in the future.
I aways wondered how they do it for the money, now they probably have discovered they can't !! >:( :(

Try Pegasus at this link
£70 between 14 is only a fiver each. We used them last recently and were extremely good.

I too have used A2B for years and actually have 4 transfers booked with them later this year. I never asked for a pick up or drop off from the house because I was afraid the driver wouldn't be able to find the address, so I went to the nearest hotel. I suppose if you have always had this service, it must be disappointing that they no longer provide it. I know for fact that they have been having problems with the taxi drivers, who feel that by providing a residential pick-up, that they (taxi's) are losing custom. Whilst the same could be said about hotel pick-ups, the taxi drivers just have to accept that. It's a shame about your situation but they have provided an excellent service to date. I shall continue to use them. Sorry about your situation.

To defend A2B - (this from their website & has always been the case ever since I started using them many years ago) - We cater for the majority of places within the specified resort/city; there are exceptions in Turkey, certain areas in the US, Canary Islands and Majorca. No shuttles are available to private addresses. Please contact us at admin@a2btransfers to confirm the address. If you don’t know the full address we can drop you off at the local tourist office.
A2B have always had this policy so it's not "from this week" although I appreciate you have now been told for the 1st time. The local agent in Fethiye is Diane Edwards (as you know) & she has agreed to help you sort your problem, it would have been nice for you to update this topic accordingly to give a fair balance.
A2B have always dropped me off at a private address, I just ask the driver & show him where to go, for the return I've always walked to the nearest hotel, is that really too much to ask for a transfer that costs a measly £6?
Just my 2p worth!

We used Diane last year and got dropped off and picked up at our house. We had to give directions mind.
As our place is a bit out of the way there is no way we could walk to the nearest hotel - so I'll be checking with Diane before we book our transfers this year.

I appreciate and respect your comments SC, but the" from this week " is what I was told on the phone, and I really understand that to be dropped off at a "convenient" is acceptable, if you live in Calis that's fine, but for us in Deliktas it's a mile all uphill !!, for me as an endurance "freak" is not a problem, but for others and visitors may be. Dianne has responded and hopefully all is resolved and I thank her dearly for that, as I have stated previously, we have used them probably more than most on this forum and therefore qualified to comment.
-
I would just like to say that Dianne from A2B has resolved the situation on this matter and I thank her dearly for that, I hope all works out well, however, unfortunately, she doesn't answer the telephone at time of confirmation and this does cause a lot of stress at the time, thank you Dianne.
-
Glad you got it resolved Tony, I've always found A2B to be totally accommodating & a small tip for the driver works miracles when you want dropping at a private residence!
-
I didnt realise they did home addresses, we always meet at nearby hotel which luckily is very near.
-
Will be taking up our return transfer in a weeks time, so the contact name will be useful although we were provided with the local agents tel no.

Thanks Mark, yes all resolved, majority of "tribe" left last night ( from the apartment). The disappointing thing about this issue is that prior to this we too have been impressed by the service, and as you quite correctly say I am normally so happy with the service I normally give the driver a 10 lira tip ( hardly a " king's ransom ", but equates to approx. 50 % of tariff).
-
Mark its alright for you sitting in england ,saying its not a problem ,for a big strapping bloke like you it probably isn't ,you haven't been here for quite a few months the bloody roads are very very bad ,how can you expect a women with push chair to walk to nearest hotel, you want a cab door to door ,if they all said that fair enough ,taxis drivers go door to door its just another Turkish scam to save money or something else ,A2b get good right ups on here so they should accept the bad ones ,i wont use them again ,maybe when calis is not like kandahar high street they will start up again ,they wont get there cars dirty or damaged, then. >:(

I think Lance is absolutely spot on, taxis should be door to door. Otherwise why bother? I remember one taxi in Canaries years ago that dropped me a good 100yds climb away from our apartment, alone with 4 children and all the baggage that entailed; think of the masses of luggage in those days plus a pushchair etc. it was an absolute nightmare. He drove off at the speed of light! I'm not so daft now! I'd never use a company that wouldn't pick me up at my door and drop me at my destination.
-
Our family used A2B transfer and have just emailed to say excellent service, although the driver didn't know their hotel a fellow passenger did and they were dropped off at predicted time, their pickup was on time and the driver was really helpful with their luggage etc. really pleased with the price and service.

I have a real issue with A2B and am currently in dispute with them. Yes its cheap, but they are impossible
to contact. On their voucher they are insistent that you get a pick-up time, but it never seems to work on
the website, (probably because the local agent -- Sarpendon -- dont bother). They also suggest you
send an email to Sarpendon -- who never respond -- sent 3 --- then suggest if all else fails you call
Sarpendon, who rarely answer, got them finally on the day of travel after 5 attempts. ( I have asked for the costs
of the UK mobile calls to be refunded).
So, surely the simple answer would have been to contact A2B in the UK?? After all
the telephone numbers and an email would be on their website wouldnt it? Its not!! I found
an email finally and sent an mail - to receive an "FAQ" response and telling me to do all things that
I said in my email had not worked!
I can put up with the early drop at Dalaman, (pain but OK), and I dont mind waiting around a bit at Dalaman,
it is not long, it is the same every year, getting in contact with anyone who can give the pick-up time, I am on holiday,
I dont want to keep chasing them! Spending money doing it!
Now I know people will say, correctly, we use xxx and it is only xxx a head, but that doesnt help when there are only
2 of you! We need some competition to A2B, is there any, anyone know of someone else doing shared travel even if a little bit more?

I'll definitely be looking for alternatives next trip, if there are 2+, I'll probably revert to F.A.T. as their service was always first class, but if we travel individually that is just not cost effective, if I discover an alternative I'll update you :)

I booked A2B just last week for my transfer to Dalaman tonight. I have been to their office today, which is just behind Alo 24 near Sunday market. They have confirmed my pick up time, which is only around 30 mins before I would have booked a private transfer, & at my home address. I always end up calling into the office, as our sokak no on the blue sign, is NOT the same as that on Google Earth, which they use & I can never remember the Google Earth sokak no.
-
Travel republic do transfers, I have used them in the past. Pickup time was a bit early though.
-
Do they drop off / pick up at residential address' Fran ? , have you got a contact link ?
-
We used A2B in May and they were fine, other than when I contacted them to arrange return pick up. The time quoted was a bit earlier than I would have wanted but they did stick to it, but the person I spoke to didn't know where Caretta Apartments were even though they'd dropped us off no problem when we'd arrived! Spent quite a while (on a UK mobile) giving directions then, because the first guy didn't speak good English, he passed me on to someone else to go through it all again. After we'd got back I received an email from A2B asking me to complete a survey rating their performance. I commented on this phone call and how much it had cost me and thought they should have known where to pick us up as it was a return transfer not one way.
As yet, I haven't had a reply. Other than that I would probably use them again.

Try Pegasus, we were very impressed with their service, waiting for us at airport, dropped off at apartment, pick up on time, only £25.00 each way, cannot fault it, mention CBF on booking, they know the power of good publicity!!
-
I use a2b all the time and yes they do still drop off at residential addresses and i must say for what you pay the service is excellent and there mini buses are of high standard ive never been let down by them and they know where to pick me up and drop me off and normally always on time.I would certainly recommend them in general they give a good service and most of there fleet of mini buses are new mercs how bads that.

Well here we are Tuesday, Sarpendon Travel hjave still not replied to any of my emails and finally see that A2B confirmed a pick-up time, amazing that they managed to do it only after numerous emails and complaints and threats to call into their offices in Birmingham -- and -- after I finally talked to Sarpendon travel. The buses are good, the drivers are great, you just cant talk to anyone without an act of parliament! :)
