We buy Schweppes in lots of supermarkets here, but never seen slimline, they only have the normal tonic water.

Have tried for years to get Schweppes Slim Line Tonic in Turkey, but never had any luck.  And for Mrs Tickets and I, if its tonic it always has to be Schweppes.  :)

To be honest I much prefer schweppes normal tonic for taste, but it is really calorific!

I was told that the artificial sweetner aspertimine was banned here. Not sure if it's true but you don't often see diet drinks. Mind you, I saw diet coke today so who knows?

Actually spirits are a lot less calories than say wine or beer, a G&T using slimline tonic is a much better option for dieting.

There has Always been diet coke ( light, Pepsi max etc ) in Kalkan for the 6 years we have been here.

I'm truly amazed that you can't get 'slim line' anywhere out in turkey to the best of my knowledge ?

I think that of the known worldwide brands, the only diet drink available here  is diet coke,zero coke, pepsi max etc. You can buy some sugar free Turkish brands, but I do not think they are comparable to the sugar free drinks available in the UK. Unless you are diabetic, when obviously it is vital to have sugar free drinks, does it really matter to have a few extra calories whilst on your holiday? Afraid if the answer is yes, diet coke is your only option.....

You can get Diet cola and diet lemonade here but never seen Diet tonic water...

You can get lemonade called Camlica light and normal in the bigger supermarkets
