Can you get a bus to the top of babadag if so where do you get it thanks. ;)
-
Yes there is a bus up the mountain.
But there is only one way down and that is by paraglider. Bit dear at £60 though.
-
There is a dolmus that departs from Oludeniz and passes Hisaronu.
It drives up and down as well :)
No need to jump.
-
I would absolutely love to do this. Sadly, I am too scared.
-
I think the bus is quite safe keith not heard of any accidents.

One nil to Lance :-)

I have heard this is a very scary ride particular when you meet a vehicle coming the other way. I read recently of someone driving up and not wanting to do it again.
-
Wuzz ! ;)
-
I`m with Keith on this, would love to but as I have got older my bottle has left me! ;D
-
We are iust going up there for a meal or BBQ not flying.
-
I went up in a hire car. Its quite scary at times but is well worth the trip.
-
One day soon or much later we can go up in a cable car , and that will be scary. I found the road to be ok not much problem until the paragliding fools think its a race track. If anyone wants to go to the restaurant they will do a transfer for 10tl per person on top of the set meal price(.40tl no transfer) 50tl including transfer. ;)

Don't forget to lookout for one of these before you wake-up.

Saw that this morning on the approach to the new Calis Runway , but had to divert back to Dalaman as runway looked a llittle rough ! ;)
-
And the arrivals building looks like a bloody pig-sty too!

You've just got to do it.

Did the Jump a couple of years ago when was 70 No problem. Loved every minute of it but was funny when we came in to land as my friends husband was standing there taking a video and the parachute glided down covering him completely . It really is a wonderful sight from up there and well worth the effort .Found the drive up there more scary than the jump . Go on ..be brave
-
I'm not saying I am too scared to jump.
I'm saying I'm too scared to even travel to where you jump from :D
-
Me too :-[
-
Why don't you walk up then ?
-
I'd probably fall off
-
I'd need a tablet under my tongue!
-
they say all the parachutes are guaranteed ,if they fail take them back and they will exchange them
-
I heard they give a full refund if you return the chute unopened. :o
-
In reply to Lance's initial question; I should imagine that the best place to catch the bus to go to the top of Babadag, would be at the bottom !! ;) 8)

I love this video!
I really want to do this jump. My eldest son has already recommended it. My Mum and my daughter also want to do it. My youngest son and my husband would rather eat their own arms than even think about it.
I have a heart condition and my husband made me promise not to do this jump. However, I spoke to my consultant and we agreed, if I'm going to die cos of a dicky heart then what a way to go! Awful for the guy I'd be strapped to though........
-
I'd also be interested in the bus ride that Lance has mentioned. Those views from up there must be to die for. Sorry. :P

Mentol, Hope you will get Hazardous Sports Insurance in the U.K. before you do iit? also get your relatives to do it before they jump. The Turkish Companies offer you insurance for Turkey, but, if you have to miss your flight home, stay in an hotel for longer and then get another flight home, you will pay for this yourself. Get a broken bone, need an extra seat or two, you pay for that as well. Hazardous Sports Insurance is not expensive. i would advise anyone thinking of paragliding, horse riding, quad biking and jeep safaris to get this. ;D
-
Good 'ol Jacqui. Always looking on the bright side. ;)

I'd be quite chuffed to be able to say I was cool enough to have the need to buy Hazardous Sports Insurance! Thanks for the advice, Jacqui.

Well, no one would get into a car in the U.K. without insurance, so why go abroad and jump off a mountain when there have been fatalities and also injuries, one a couple of weeks ago where the instructor and the passenger where blown into the mountain and had leg injuries. Remember a medi-vac home can start at £30,000 and go up to over £100,000.

Really, thousands do every day :D
-
I excluded criminals and included sensible people like members of the Forum ;D
-
Do you check that every car you get into has insurance that covers you ?
-
or the ones that hit you !
-
I think the post by Jacqui deserves a bit more credit than has been given, its easy to forget about the insurance. Thanks for the reminder Jacqui ;)

It's also easy to forget how it doesn't have to be something mad like jumping off a mountain that you need to be careful about. Relatively tame holiday favourites like quad bikes for example - such accidents are absolutely exempt from most standard holiday policies. It's generally not what people want to hear as someone picks gravel out of their face with a pair of tweezers.
-
i've been paragliding 7 times it's great.very scary going up the first time, but the track's much wider now. the paragliding's great.
-
Looks totally awesome, there's a number of really go videos on YouTube , if you are interested. 8)

Exactlly my point Scunner, Hazardous Sports Insurance covers all risky things you will do on Holiday,
however, don't see many people on Quads wearing crash helmets which would negate the insurance.
There was a piece in our local paper last year about a guy who had no holiday insurance at all and was in an accident. His Mother was trying to raise £35,000 to bring him home.
-
I can't understand the people who have no insurance.
basic holiday insurance is incredibly cheap considering what you are covered for.
