Title: CBF Free Zone
Post by: Scunner on July 05, 2013, 18:50:46 PM
Enjoying first CBF free holiday in 10 years. Apart from this post of course. Just because a few people PM'ed asking if I was ok/still alive. Hotel brill, Marrakech mental. Next time someone posts complaining about hassle from waiters on Calis seafront, I shall direct them here.

Have a great hols with your family Keith  :)I am interested in hearing about Marrakech on your return as I have a friend who is going in November for one week all inclusive it was  a great price forget how much but the deal included flights  :) I am thinking of this as a destination for possible October or maybe next year as the Turkish flight prices to get home end of August this year are simply scandalous enjoy  ;)

Unless you actually enjoy getting hassled every second or having every shopkeep, waiter, hawker or just an ordinary man in the street who stops you and ask for the time (and then tries to steal your watch) trying to rip you off then give Marrakech a miss. We ended up running away and hiding in a shop to get away from one of the unoffical Guides who said he could show us the way back to our hotel and then twenty minutes later we had walked past the same shop three times. He chased after us but didn't see us cowering in a shop doorway. As they say "been there, bought the Tshirt, never going back"

Just saying is all  :o

Have a fab time. Will await your review as I'm interested in the resort for a possible winter break. If its anything like Sharm, I can imagine the hassle but its easy to avoid we found! Enjoy

Cav,

Marrakech is as far away from a "resort" as it's possible to get.
