Title: Comedian Mel Smith Dies Aged 60

The comedian best known for working with Griff Rhys Jones in Alas Smith & Jones and Not The 9 O'clock News has passed away at the age of 60 - RIP Mel  :(

Such a shame - haven't seen much of him in recent years but loved him in Alas Smith and Jones.

I can't be two faced, I never rated the guy. But sad to see him go - RIP Mel.

Mel Smith's death has been reported on BBC News, Channel 5 News, Sky News, CNN and the News at Ten.

But, Not The 9 O'Clock News.

Shows how much technology has moved on.  When you watch the sketch, Rowan A and Gryff RJ seem like the dinosaurs now.

 I remember being incredibly excited in 1976 when I got a Texas Insts watch with LED time that you had to press a button to see, unless it was sunny - luckily I lived in East Kilbride near Glasgow so could see time 99.9% of the time.
