Title: Manchester fast-track security
Post by: Bluwise on July 30, 2013, 13:07:07 PM
There is an option to buy fast track through security at Manchester - £3.50 each.  Has anyone used it and is it £3.50's worth of faster?

It depends what time of day you go and how many flights are going out at the time.

If there are a lot of other flights at the same time - its well worth it.

Where do you purchase this, Is it something you need to buy before you go to the airport or when there?

Bewva, I was looking for parking and it was an additional option in there - www.manchesterairport.co.uk/Shop/MAN/Parking

Ian, thanks - we are a mid afternoon Saturday flight so pretty sure it will be worth it!

I can't see the point unless it means your plane will take off any sooner.

I don't like queuing OR putting my hands in my pockets unnecessarily.  ;)

Thanks for this.  I've just booked the fast track security for my flight from Manchester next month.  It's worth £3.50
just to see if it works.  I hadn't heard about this so i'm delighted.  I will keep you posted.  Thanks again.

We definitely recommend fast track rather than queuing when the airport is really busy but if it's not, don't waste your money. We did once and the normal queue was running at the same speed. At Luton you can go up the stairs at the side first and check how it's going.
