Title: Best place to spend last day/waiting for transfer??
Post by: Blindside on August 22, 2013, 09:34:07 AM
I'm just lazing by the pool and thinking about making the most of our last day in Calis.

We could just stay where we are but I was thinking about where the best pool or beach bar is as we could potentially relocate there for our last day whilst we wait for our pick up.

Obviously I don't mind paying for entry or sunbeds or drinks etc.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Cheers

Firstly, I would verify that the transfer company will pick you up from your "last refuge", some may not !! Enjoy your last days anyway .  8)

The 'Dalyan transfer' always makes me laugh - why pay a premium to uproot
from your hotel to stay at another hotel for your last night to be an hour nearer the airport ?

Personally, I would not upset the apple cart.  Depending on what time you're getting picked up, I would go for a lovely meal, watch the sunset, have a couple of drinks and head back to my hotel in plenty of time for my transfer.  If you're transfer is early evening, I would go for a late lunch after a wee swim then relax in the hotel until the transfer arrives.

totally agree, get picked up from your holiday base, have a last wander round the shops, pick up a few souvenirs, maybe some sandwiches for the trip home, and enjoy your last few hours in the Turkish sunshine. Wish I was there   :)

I don't even want to think about a transfer bus coming to pick me up and take me home.
We arrive tomorrow for 16 nights (with a 3 nighter in Dalyan snuck into the middle   :) )
CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!  8) 8) 8)
