I do believe that the lady was being serious, a crib league would be another way to while away those long, freezing cold winters nights, & bring some business to participating bars .

if you would like a game of crib  or 5s and 3s or both turn up at the Sevi Classic on tues night at 7.30.  There are 5 of us turning up and this will most likely be our venue.  Feel free to drop me a line if you wish.
The Sev I Classic, from what I understand is taking over the Darts and Pool from PJ's, but they are on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Snowtop I would love to join you on a Tuesday night for my favourite card game crib, and dommy game 5and3s, unfortunately I am already booked out on a Tuesday as part of a quiz team.  If you or anyone else starts something for these great games other than a Tuesday evening... I am in.

If we lived in Turkey, I'd set up a painting and art club - in the meantime, am thinking of painting another wall mural maybe in the attic bedroom. I completed this one in the last two days of our week in May earlier this year. Currently making a ceramic lamp in the shape of a mosque to match the mural. Would be just a bit worried that a tenant (or tenant's child) might break it.

unfortunately due to us all being committed one way or another, we have decided that there will be no crib as far as we are concerned for at least 6 weeks, so will see what happens then.

Thanks, Lotty. Got no head for cards, cribbage or anything, can't sing (tone deaf), no sense of direction (maybe because I come from Down Under, so everything is upside down), a bit scatty, but I can draw!
