Mrs Scunner likes nothing more than arriving in Calis from Dalaman late in the evening and having their signature dish, egg & chips :D

I am a creature of habit. We always seem to arrive in Calis around 10, and it's drop off the bags and off to see Frank. I always have the chicken durum. Followed by some consideration, then another chicken durum.

I think the food there is the best value in Calis and very tasty to. Sinay has a great sence of humour too.

It was our first visit to Calis this year and we found this restaurant on our first night,we went back nearly every night it was the best food we've had, the menu was varied and everything we tried was excellent and believe me when I say we tried most of the menu lol

It is on the strip that leads up to the main entrance to the beach, on the right hand side opposite the Akbank and HSBC which are next to the Kerim hotel.  Here are some earlier pictures, with a shot of Frank Canon himself.

BTW unlike Boxerdogs I choose the lite alternative for pudding, cherry pancake but no ice cream... Which is how I am able to maintain my six barrel stomach  ;)

We love this place too; we eat here more often than not.  Consistently good food, excellent staff, and amazing value for money.

When we were over last month, I had their chicken and mushroom curry for the first time - mmmmm it was gorgeous!  We had just placed our order, when we realised it was Senay's birthday - out came two birthday cakes, and after numerous versions of "happy birthday", we were all treated to a piece of the birthday cake!  It was a very unusual "starter" (and filled us up - it was HUGE  :) ), but we still managed to s-q-u-e-e-z-e in our main meal!

We have never had a bad meal here.  We also ordered cheese and tomato sandwiches, with a mixed salad, to take to the airport with us, and again, they were really good.  10 out of 10 every time!

Our first holiday tradition of many - touch down, transfer, hotel, drop bags off, Frank Cannons. Fabulous.

I hope that they never substitute their hand written notice boards for " proper " ones, they add to the character of the place, in my opinion anyway. Lorraine ALWAYS has the Iskender Kebap, which is lovely, I like to change my choice, but have never had a bad meal in Gunisik.  :P :P :P :P
