Title: Children Hospital Foundation - Sponsored Bike Ride

I have been asked if I would give a mention to quite a bike ride - in a very good cause. Here are the details, a very worthy place to support...

"Alf Chappell, former owner of the world famous European Diving Centre and manager of the LykiaWorld dive centre has got together with 2 others guys and are cycling from Izmir to Cape Town, yes Cape Town, South Africa. A total of 11,000 Kms. They will be raising money for the Dr Behcet Uz Children Hospital Foundation, for children with cancer. The hospital is in Izmir, which is the start point".

This is an amazing thing to do... Alf helped The 3cs out with some excellent promises at two of the Auctions when he owned the Dive centre at Lykia World. They raised a lot of liras for Turkish children in this area.. To do it for Turkish children with cancer is fantastic... Good luck Alf.. I will be sponsoring you...

Pete and I  met Alf in FETAV office last week when he told us about this amazing bike ride for charity - 11,000 kms and through some very unstable countries.  We wish the three of them all the luck possible as this is a great thing to do for the children's cancer unit and we hope that lots of people will support their marathon effort by sponsoring them.

Only a couple of days left in the Sudan, next stop Ethiopia. Hoping to also fit in Uganda before Kenya.  :)

The lads are about half way through their journey now and still having fun. Below is the countries they still have to visit on this epic bike ride
The rest of Uganda
 Rwanda
 Tanzania
 Malawi
 Mozambique
 Swaziland
 South Africa - the finishing line, Cape Town.
