It's Renta- Burka time !
-
Who ate all the croissants and the referee's a pranker - but needs a lot of volume. KKOB will be along shortly with his input and advice !
-
Football ? Can't be arsed !
-
Told you !
-
And no shouting "Voyn" at Mr Coban on Saturday,Nichola. ;)
-
Sadly I won't be able to be there never mind shout "voyn" a colloquial expression peculiar to Fethiye ;)
-
But please, Nichola, what does voyn mean?
-
Haha who knows ? It's some sort of slang often used as a loud passing remark to someone you know amongst other uses apparently at Fethiyespor football matches ;)
I'll see if I can get a better answer on Facebook...
-
Not an abusive word then. :)
-
Not in my experience Menthol but who knows what it means in the context of a Fethiyespor match.
We have concluded on Facebook that it means "mate" but if used outside of Fethiye would be interpreted as complete gibberish.... ;)

That all sounds lovely - what about the score ?

I went to the 2 ladies only matches and thoroughly enjoyed it.
First game we won 4-0
Second we lost 3-1
Fantastic atmosphere, the ladies sang and cheered their hearts out.
Sad to see the only trouble was a fight between the handful of men in the VIP section, and a few children throwing empty water containers at the away team led to a few riot Polis with shields up while the away team left the pitch.
I think I would find a 'normal' match a bit intimidating and scary, have heard they get very over excited.
I would like to go again and am wondering if there's an area for people less likely to get caught up in a fight? ( wimp )
My son wants to come to the Denizli game in April but I've heard it's the Fethiye equivalent of Brighton v crystal palace and having experienced that I'm definitely scared!

i dont think i would go to a regular game either...turkish men watching live footie on tele is scary enough...im so glad we went and watching THE naughty boys outside was priceless... ;D ;D
