Title: Plans for a complex
Post by: janmack on September 23, 2013, 09:38:11 AM
Does anyone know where we can obtain a copy of a plan for our complex?  There is a small dispute over who owns what which, hopefully, a  copy would help resolve.  However we have been told that "no owner is allowed to have a copy of the plan" and we find that very hard to believe!  We are in Calis BTW. Many thanks  ;)

The belidye office should have the plans, though you may need to take someone with you. Friends in Koca Calis, with a similar problem, took Alper from A&A Translations to the Ciftlik Belidiye office & were done & dusted within half an hour.

Thanks Liz101.  We did manage to get a copy from the office where you pay council tax...although you would have thought we were asking for State secrets going by the reaction of some of the staff lol.

Did it show what you hoped it would?

Yes Keith we are almost certain it does but we are going to confirm it with another owner who is an architect and has a better understanding of plans/boundaries etc.  One person is making us doubt ourselves by disputing what seem obvious to us...although he doesn't even live on the complex!!

If it helps your Tapu will show the overall site area of the complex and the site area within that that you own. People often find that what they think is their garden is in fact common area.

We went to the council offices, they explained to Gordon that the Tapu of neighbours state owns more land but not allowed to fence, it is common garden (Ortak Bache) to be enjoyed by everyone.
maybe there should be another section to the forum, strange but true?   ;)

The arguments that have gone on about what is private and what is communal are unbelievable lol.  Sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs lie  ;)

I am at the point where it is not my problem now, 2 Turkish lawyers have purchased so let them sort it.  The neighbour who moved in was concerned how to fence off his 350 Sqm, did he fence off our drive making us climb the fence to get to our front door, or put the fence through our balcony?  he fenced off a smaller plot in the end, I think he he valued his anatomical parts  ;)
