Just booked for next year, going out on 2nd May, return 20th May £118 each. Dip yer bread !! ;) ;)
-
Blimey, that's cheap! Where are you flying from? We've paid £320 return for both us next May, from Manchester, with Easyjet and was quite pleased with that.

Manchester, Yes I thought it was extremely cheap, so booked it.

Don't blame you :)

Just checked £309.00 each from Scotland. We never get any cheap flights even booking so far ahead. Wonder if I vote for independence will Alex be able to change things?? ;D :P

I'm sure he will Jacqui - and all the other things he says he will! ;)
You go vote for him.

Alex will promise us all a time machine each if we vote yes

No, it will be Phil in his Jeep, however, if he manages to get early retirement next year, we have already thought about doing this i.e. travelling to an airport where the flights are cheaper, it will be easy if we don't have to stick to Phil's work holidays. We where thinking we could fly from Manchester and when we come back have a few days in the Lake District..... but cannot book anything at the moment just keeping our fingers crossed and will wait and see what next year brings.

Jacqui have a look at jet2 they fly from Blackpool and I think you get 14 days parking for £10.

Thanks Fran, I did see Blackpool on the flight schedule at Dalaman, so could be a plan.

Great to hear of anyone getting a good deal on a flight. I have just flown back to Edinburgh with Turkish Airlines from Istanbul. The service was superb and the price you see is the price you pay which includes your hold luggage and meals. It was nice to be served a decent and plentiful breakfast served on proper dishes and being supplied with 'real' cutlery. They are less inclined to charge you for excess luggage either. I was 5K over with my hold luggage buy they allowed it through without question. Istanbul to Edinburgh was £105, booked earlier this year. I know that there can be a time delay in Istanbul for onward flights but if you don't have time restraints, it can be worth it. I would use them to travel to Dalaman next year - May 2014 = £220 return.

Have flown Turkish Airlines a few times and I think they really deserve the awards & praise they get. Nothing seems too much trouble for them, always seem to leave & arrive on time (even when there was heavy snow at Istanbul in February last year). Also their charge for overweight baggage is only 3tl per kilo. 8)
