Sends a shiver down my spine. :(

Agree, just been to Sainsburys to stock up............ 25% off at the moment !
-
OMG! Good job we've just been to France to stock up with a bottle or two (or maybe a few more!) ;D ;)

As a drinker of the beer - best bitter when available - this is of little concern to me, but is grave news for Mrs Tickets. I'll break the news to her very gently this evening as she sips at her bottle of Turasan Capadocian red, it could be one of her last ;)

I doubt there will ever be a world shortage of Turkish wine. Mind you, the way Erdogan is going there may well be a Turkish shortage of Turkish and world wine.
-
Colwyn I do appreciate that Turkish wine does not make the top ten list of most people, but the Capadocian wine - both red and white - is a good Turkish wine that can be enjoyed- Erdogoan permitting - for a very reasonable price. In fact I have been known to quaff a glass or two of the white meself, and very nice it is too.

I think it's just sour grapes.

very stressed by this post, had to dash to the co-op to stock up, however having this much wine in the house is not good, as the next bottle is beckoning, cannot deal with boxes of wine, you never know how much you are drinking!!
-
Have to disagree echogirl1 regarding boxes of wine. I always knew how much I had drunk when, no matter how hard I tried, I held the box at 70 degrees, shook it violently and still nothing came out.
PS The solution was of course was to rip the box apart in a demented frenzy, grab the kitchen foil bag and milk the last dregs into your glass as though there was no tomorrow :)

Sounds very familiar H! ;D

Snip off the bottom corner of the bag, extra half a glass in there! . . . What? . .what? ;)
-
No no no
Blow into the bag till it is like a balloon, then it all collects around the tap and you get that extra half glass ;)

You can get help for behavioural issues like this ;) ;)

The wine is all the help I need :)
-
And it's fun to watch I'm sure Keith! ;)

Breathing into the bag is Scunner's way of making sure that the nobody is going to ask to share the last half glass.
-
Correct :D

This reminded me of when we used to drink litre boxes of wine in Malta years ago.. We drank gallons of the stuff and decided to bring half a dozen boxes back with us as it was "so good" it was the vilest stuff we have drunk.!! even worse than some Turkish wines... . must have been the sunshine.. It did however bring our stainless steel sink up a treat... It was really expensive at 30pence a litre as well LOL...
