A police helicopter crashed last night in Glasgow on top of a city pub. I think at least 6 people have died.
-
Latest information is at least six people killed and 32 injured. The instability of the building is hampering rescue.

Local news has it at three people dead.
A terrible tragedy in what was one of our city's oldest and famous pubs.
RIP those who have lost their lives and prayers for their families and those injured.

RIP . Prayers and deepest sympathy.

Terrible tragedy, my thoughts are with everyone affected by this.

Friends of mine are in a band that regularly play the Clutha.
Very lucky they weren't there last night....thinking of those who were. :-(
-
Praying that no-one else dies. Thinking of those who have been affected.

Early reports last night suggested far higher casualties. The outcome seems (while tragic in the extreme) to be not as bad as initially feared so that is something. Another thing is the amazing people of Glasgow, again, who see tragedy and run towards it.

A horrific accident. Hopefully the injured will pull through. RIP those who sadly lost their lives.

Seen my bands in there on numerous occasions. So sad watching the pictures. Strange there was no fire after the crash, which is a bit o a blessing. God help those still trapped.

I read a report that said the pilot dumped the fuel before impact, Toky - assuming that's true or surely there would have been a fire and many more fatalities I'm sure. :(

I think you'll find he had just enough time to switch-off the fuel supply to the engines. He certainly wouldn't have had time to dump the fuel if indeed it was even possible to do so from that particular model of helicopter.
