Title: Easyjet Flights
Post by: laytos115 on December 15, 2013, 05:53:05 AM
Does anyone have any idea when Easyjet will be listing their dates for mid September. They are normally out by now! We always book with them for end of August to mid September, but they seem to only list up to 15th, and this has been there for ages.

Thanks

That's what I've been thinking. Do they actually fly to Dalaman later than the 15 th ?

They do fly after the 15th, we arrived on October 12th this year with easyjet. They keep the release date a secret and it's never the same - they have said to make it fair for all. But I think it was March this year that they released them, so there's no reason to expect it to happen any time soon.

It's a real pain if you want to get things sorted - I'm looking at flights from Manchester for £186 return, compared to £312 from Edinburgh. I also know if I get in early on EJ release morning I will probably get Edinburgh flights much cheaper than £186. The trouble is, if I don't, we're then 4 months on and the £186 Manchester flights will be long gone too...

OK experienced travellers, what do you think. We want to fly out before the 14th (flights already advertized) and return after that date. Would it be better to book Out flight now and Return flight later? Do the 7th to 14th flights get more expensive once people are absolutely certain that EJ will be offering returns when their 2014 Winter schedule is announced?

I would definitely book now - there's no reason for them getting cheaper, just more expensive. The route is unlikely to be dropped so get booking  :)

I have just looked though all my Easyjet email folders and on 27th March this year I booked flights for October this year, I know that I booked them pretty soon after they were released, so the next phase we are all waiting for could possibly not be released until around that time again next year....

I booked our flights to Dalaman for the Beginning of September to 21st September on the 7th December last year. I don't understand why they keep everyone waiting! Although I understand Thomas Cook is using Easyjet as part of their package deals.

Hi. I would go ahead and book outflights. We wondered last year what to do when this happened and ended up booking out flight for early Sept 13 in Oct 12 then checking site daily until 7Dec 12 when late Sept flights were issued in order to book return. it was a pain checking so often as even though im signed up to receive emails from easyjet they never come until after flights are already available. We did however save £70 each per round trip booking separately rather than waiting to book return trip. We have done the same this year so I am site checking again although on their facebook page I did read probably no more flights being issued until new year but because no-one seems to know for sure have to keep checking. I have contacted easyjet several times over the last couple of years to find out why they cant give notice to anyone signed up to receive emails and the response I got was that no-one knows when they are going to be released...surely someone must! Trouble is they are our best option from Bristol so will keep patiently checking!

Can I suggest a daily new routine for who it may concern.
1 Get out of bed
2 Brew up
3 Make Breakfast
4 Go on Easyjet site and check flights for September.
5 Go to work or whatever you have to do.

I do it every morning, and will do until I get what I want.

PS Before anyone says do I eat breakfast and surf naked? No I don't  ;D ;D

We've been debating this all night.
To fly from Edinburgh, we need to park the car for three weeks.  To fly from Glasgow with Jet2 which is only about £80 more we can leave the car at home and get a taxi.
Decisions, decisions

£80 or £80 each Anne? For an extra £80 I'd fly from Perth International. If they'd build it.

Can't win with "our Scunner", I remember not too long ago all of us being b*****ked for not using the quote option properly and being given precise instructions from himself how to do it.

The phrase"Victim of his own success" comes to mind.  ;D ;D

You obviously didn't read it then!!!

Reply with quote is not there to quote the last 58 comments immediately under the last 58 comments, it is used to

a) Reply to a comment earlier than the last one

or

b) Reply to a specific part of the last comment (as I have done in this reply - quoting only the part of your post relevant to my post).

In 99% of posts, Reply with quote is not required at all.

Love the smileys but that doesn't automatically mean you are saying it all tongue in cheek, because I don't think you are. Your phrase "Victim of his own success" simply translates as "too big for his boots". I assure you I am not. Nothing is further from the real me, I'm a person you simply do not know at all. Maybe it's just that I have been doing this a little longer than you (I was here doing this 9 years before you arrived with your opinions on how forums should be run).

I just think when I give my time (loads) and pay for the forum to exist freely to help and entertain all who come, people could at least be interested in how best to use the facilities. We are something of a success and that is partly because we try to do things properly and making things as easy to read and follow as possible FOR EVERYONE to read, and reply with quote use is certainly part of that.

You might think I sound like a miserable old git and perhaps in some ways I am - but I can think of little more miserable than reading a page of comments then having to wade through each and every one a second time when the person is replying to the post directly above theirs anyway!

And a Merry Christmas to you.

Well done to those who got good prices. This year we were determined to get decent flight times (not arriving home at 3.00 in the morning) and to fly from Bristol. Expensive choices! £700 for two. Ouch, that stings.

Scunner, I can assure you that my remarks were "tongue in cheek" and were mean't in a purely humerous way. I am sorry that you have reacted this way. You have been most helpful to me when I needed your advice and I will be eternally grateful. To say that I don't know you is absolutely true, as it is of 99% of all other members on this forum. If I ever have the chance to meet you or anyone else on here I would greet you or them with a firm handshake.
Anyway I sincerely wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
