Must be my turn to start a topic called that. I can report that central Scotland has been battered since around 2am this morning - in bed during the night it sounded like being on a North Sea ferry in a storm - the rain hitting the window helped by such a ferocious wind that it felt like we were being hit by waves.
But it's not all negative. Here is a scene from one of our dog walking routes, the stream ('burn' locally) is normally at best 'tranquil' and nearly dry at other times:

The weather in Turkey is getting bad as well, this morning we had mist across the valley in Uzumlu & snow on the mountain top near Nif.

Thankfully, our house is situated on a small hill.We won' t get flooded but the bottom of the road does get so. >:(I was worried because on Monday the 6th,we have booked a return rail journey from Cambuslang to Edinburgh to meet up with a friend.I keep checking Scotrail information and at the moment the trains on that route are ok.What is worse, rain or snow and ice?Give me sunshine anytime. 8)
