Whilst waiting for the current Mrs Hamlet to finish her first yoga class this week I wandered along the road and risked life & limb, as well as questioning my sanity for getting so close to the edge of a high drop with no guardrail :-[ I took these photos of Fethiye with my iPhone so not the best quality but not bad considering my fear of heights! :'(

Lovely!

Excellent - some early contenders for the 2015 calendar there. :)
Thanks for sharing.

The weather looks lovely, there is no countryside here in Cambridge at the moment, just flooded fields. Lovely pics. :)

Have they announced this years hosepipe ban yet echogirl1 ? 8)
-
Lovely photos, so pleased you survived to post them! ;D ;)

It was touch & go Marina, or rather snap & retreat rapidly!
The nerves are still frayed :-\

Hose pipe ban imminent, as every year, cant find my wellies, they've floated away on the river Cam from outside my front door!! ps the river WAS 5 miles away until last week : :)

Thanks for the photos.
It doesn't look like the amphitheatre rebuild has progressed very far?

Wow,
it looks pretty good from that angle.

Maybe they could rebuild the Colosseum in Rome, it's got huge parts missing and is looking quite shabby. I'm not sure this is the best way to look after these ancient treasures.
-
So basically, they've gotten rid of all the 'old stones' and put new ones down. Eh? ???
-
Well not exactly. As I recall, after the great earthquake of 57, they used all the "rubble" (amphitheatre blocks included), to build the prom area as is today. So they haven't got rid of the old stones, they are repaying for them..?

Great photo's I had hopes of contributing some pics I took when in Calis for the New Year but by mistake I deleted them >:( :'(

I see, Scunner. Sort of.
And I'm sorry, Hamlet, I forgot to say how lovely your photos are. You may have taken them on a phone but they are significantly better than any I take on anything :D However, that wont stop me contributing some.

Looking back, I found this one taken in 2011 - it certainly shows they didn't have too much to work with.

I guess there are quite a few of these in the area so maybe they decided to make this into something usable rather than preserving it in its original state.

Menthol, thanks for that, I was never into photography but when I worked as an estate agent I had to learn to get the best from the camera that I could. A lot of my photos are 'spur of the moment shots', I often take several shots of the same subject, changing my stance or/position slightly each time then choose the best of the bunch (thank goodness for digital photography) I'm sure the more you take, the happier you will be about your photos. 8)
