Title: is it quiet where you live ?
Post by: puma on February 03, 2014, 23:18:41 PM
well it all kicked off in our street last night 4 police cars and a van.
i thought they have caught a wanted criminal,
( because last week the police knocked at my door and showed me a photo, of this fella have i seen him they wanted to know his whereabouts.i shook my head and said "sorry no"  ;)

back to last night we went outside to see what was happening the and the air was blue not only with the lights off the cars but with the language.
there was 3 policeman trying to control a female who was kicking and trying to  bite them , they eventually got her in the van.
one of the policeman looked at us and said this is what happens when you don't pay your TV licence
we burst out laughing at his comment, that his can still have a sense of humour after all they have to put up with.

I had a real panic a couple of days ago.  The local Gamekeeper rang me to say.  There would be shooting two fields away in the woods, for pheasants.  I immediately worried about our pheasant Ginger who comes to the garden every day. I was terrified he would get shot.  Happily he appeared the next day, I was so happy and reckon Ginger knows to stay away from those woods.
This is the most excitement we get around this area..

We live on Salisbury plain, so unless the army are on exercise it's hooting owls, and the odd cat fight, (apart from the coughing and/or snoring next to me).
When the army are around it's tanks, helicopters, shells, machine gun fire, you name it, but we love it!

Although we're in the East End of Glasgow our little estate is very quiet, we hardly see a soul.  Ten minutes down the road though is a very different story.  I can totally relate to your post Puma
