As many of you know we hold our popular Taster Day in early April.
What is our Taster Day?
It's a whole afternoon starting at 12 o'clock and ending around 4pm where for a set price you have the opportunity to sample all of the dishes we serve at the Mozaik Bahçe. We start with the starters and snacks, then the main meals, followed by desserts so it takes a whole afternoon.
It's always an enjoyable day, an opportunity to catch up with friends and meet some new people and a great start to the new season.
Recently I have been getting quite a few questions about when and if booking is necessary - yes you do but only when the date is announced please.
The date is not yet set as we need to organise it on a sunny day and we cannot be sure of the weather until much nearer to the time. This means there is usually only a few days notice.
In fairness to everyone we simultaneously advertise the date here and on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mozaikbahce and only then do we start taking bookings on a first come basis.
I would like to recommend that anyone who would like to be the first to know when the date is announced, sign up to be "notified" of the details which will be posted in this topic. I believe if you have entered an email address in your profile you will then be sent an email notifying you that a reply has been posted.
You can set up notifications by checking the notify tab - above the first post towards the right or towards the bottom right of the page after the last post and advert.
One bit of good news is that the price will be the same as last years price - just 25TL per person :)

Well I did want to do an end of summer season Taster day to lead into winter but somehow it didn't happen. You'll have to speak to Doğan - he's the boss :D

Agree with Scunner, taster day time of year is not fair.
IMO it's just for all the expats who live out in the area as early April is not holiday season. All you are doing by putting this on the Forum is tormenting the member who live in the U.K....boo ;D ;)

The taster sounds a great idea for a regular lunch or midweek option.
This would then drag people back for bigger mouthfuls of their favourites from your regular menu.

Really going to miss the tasting day.. It is a super day out.. Four hours eating and drinking... Great service and great company..aaargh..

Diary cleared, finger hovering on the button. Our friends Helen & Jim are hoping for rain until April 15th. Guess what date they arrive !

ohh we'd love to be there.....our visits have never co-incided with your wonderful taster day, so have always missed out. Last week of April would be good - x 3 cos Mumsie will be with us ;) ;D xxx

Doubt if there would be a monthly taster night.. They must lose money on putting this on.. They are full portion tasters and includes everything on their menu including all their deserts and several large tubs of flavoured ice creams... Summer nights are also very busy...

Just a reminder to set up a notification to this topic if you haven't already as we are hope to announce the date of our Taster Day early next week assuming the weather forecast continues to look good for the day we have in mind.
The Taster Day traditionally is our opening party for the summer season but it was renamed last year by George and we liked it so it's stuck.
We don't mean to torment anyone but many people do holiday here early in the season and for some strange reason it also seems to coincide with lots of people from here popping back to the UK so we usually have a nice mix of people attending.
As in previous years we will also be holding a raffle for the 3C's with a bottle of decent Vodka (Smirnoff I think) and one of our popular mosaic battery lamps as prizes.
We also officially open for the summer season on Monday 31st and our full menu is available from then. I know some people have been missing our mezes most of which weren't available on our winter menu.

Watch out Nichola, my sister is back over on 9th April and can't wait to come back to Mosaik.

We have decided on the date for our Taster Day and as Tuesday is often a quiet day with many out and about at the market I will post it later this evening after I get back from the restaurant :)

The Mozaik Bahçe Taster Day will be this Saturday 5th April.
Arrive 12 noon, there is no need to come earlier as we allow some lead in time and we'll still be getting ready but arriving on time gives you a chance to choose your table, have a drink and mingle. First courses are normally laid out by about 1pm.
It is a whole afternoon starting with mezes and snacks set out buffet style and when you have had your fill of these we move on to the main meals again set out buffet style and again with desserts.
Normally things wind up at about 4ish.
Price 25tl per person
Drinks are extra and we will have tabs for everyone.
I will be taking plenty of photos so feel free to look your best - I have a new frock for the occasion and the weather forecast looks good if possibly a little cloudy.
I know that some people will be disappointed its not a week or so later and we are very sorry for that.
How to book.
You may let me know on this topic or by email using the envelope tab which you can see on my profile. I prefer that to the CBF message system.
I need to know your proper (not CBF) name, how many people and preferably who is in your party to avoid double booking.
If for any reason you are unable to attend please let me know just in case we are oversubscribed.
We have about 70 places.
Bookings will be made on a first come basis and I will let you know when we are full.
