Tragic news
-
But not unexpected if I'm honest.
Such a shame though - a beautiful young woman with two children. Sad.
-
Incredibly sad for all the remaining family. They must be devastated .So young and so much to live for .
-
Very sad for her family. Way too young.
I saw her very feistily argue with that awful media whore, Katie Hopkins and she really held her own.
-
Very very sad, such a young age, but as sais certainly not a shock after what happened to her mum.
-
I've never liked Bob Geldof but I do really feel sorry for him tonight.
-
So very sorry to hear about the news, I feel the whole family must be cursed in some way, a beautiful young mother exposed too soon to the spotlight because of her parents. Feel very sad
-
How very sad, leaving 2 such young children as well.
-
Bob Geldof has given a huge chunk of his life to changing the lives of millions for the better. How cruel life can be when selfish bigots who are in life for themselves sail on through without a care...

I am struggling to find any sense in the first line of your comment Stuart !!

I also find a kind of disbelief in your post as well. Why should/would what happened to her Mum possibly have a connection to this young lady's very untimely death ?
-
If that's the price of fame it's too expensive. May God bless the family. Tragic.
-
A tragic loss for all that cared for & loved her RIP, Peaches
Such sadness for one family to cope with :(
-
She was obviously a very troubled person, her last tweet on Sunday night was a photo of her as a child in her mothers arms. :'(
-
Hamlet, how poignant is that. Very, very sad, she was way too young. RIP
-
I am with GordonA on this one.
Its a tragic loss of a young life that will have a devastating effect on her young family and those who loved her.Let's not speculate
-
Devastating for those close, just how much tragedy can one family take? She was a beautiful, intelligent young mum of two adorable babies who turned her life around. Heartbreaking.
-
Having read the obituaries in todays papers, it is inevitable that connections are being made between the loss of her mother and Peaches, and it is very clear that she never recovered, and also felt unsupported by her father.
How many times has it been said that no amount of money, fame (or infamy) is of any consequence at all when it boils down to what is really important.
I hope her little boys are loved and cherished as they deserve.
-
Gordon,
She has been a troubled soul since her mum died. As I said I am not surprised but I am sad for her and those she has left behind.

Sometimes there just is no explanation. A couple of months ago my younger brother died (aged 51) and his death was attributed to SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome - the adult version of cot death). Even as our family was trying to come to terms with our bereavement, rumours were circulating that my brother had taken his own life, either deliberately or accidentally as a result of overdosing on drugs. No one can imagine the distress such speculation can cause a family trying to cope with the unexpected death of a loved one unless they have experienced it themselves.
Already the media is awash with rumour and speculation concerning Ms Geldof's untimely death which her family must find incredibly unsettling, even hurtful.
My thoughts are with her husband and her sons, her sisters and her dad, as they try to deal with this latest tragedy in their lives.
-
I'm so sorry for your loss CleopatrasAsp, it must still be a heartbreaking time for you. I agree, nobody knows the cause as yet, but no doubt even with proof, speculation will continue. The family needs some sympathetic consideration and privacy now. Achingly sad.
-
Very sorry to hear of your own tragic loss, Cleopatrasasp. And yes, we should all resist second guessing the cause of her death. And whilst we may find out how she died, we might not know for sure why.

In all the sympathy for Peaches today, it seems to have been lost in the press that two other young mother's died yesterday. British women one an excellent obstetrician ( who was a wonderful help to my daughter's friend when she had a miscarriage). These woman, on holiday in Tenerife swam out to save two children and lost their own lives. It seems their story has been pushed to the back burner. Celebrity takes the front page always.
My sympathies go to Peaches family but also to these two women's families too.
-
Sadly Jacqui yes, that is the way the press work, Peaches Geldorf was 'famous' so she will take precedence in print. That's not to say we are not all hugely saddened by the horror of these other two brave young mothers, I'm sure our sympathies for them have not been lessened. Both shockingly tragic. My thoughts are with all of their families.
-
Talk is if possible heart failure brought on by anorexia. Tragic if true. All speculation of course - based on her past problems and her painfully thin appearance.
-
Can only agree once more, with sympathy for all the latest reported deaths, the women in Tenerife who died trying to save their children, and young Peaches who seems to be a victim of todays search for perfection, not forgetting that the births of two babies in 2 years may well have caused a degree of postnatal problems. My thoughts are with the families of these three women.

We have an awful situation in York this past few months where a number of young people have died in the rivers.
It's got to the point where I'm no longer surprised to hear it in the news that another person has gone missing after a night out in York. The common denominator seems to be alcohol.
It's tragic for the families it really is.
-
Seems to be a fair bit of media speculation that heroin may have been a contributing factor in her death. Very sad case, but not isolated - the "Three J's" of Dundee has had a another "J" added to it over the past few years...

I did not comment on this very sad event at the time because I wanted to wait for the result of the tests.
It now seems likely that this young lady had the choice of life - others were not so fortunate. :(
-
Understand how you feel John. Seems like she had everything to live for, what a shame and sad for her two little boys.
-
John, am sure this case must have hit you personally, but we don't know what goes on in someones mind, she was obviously severely disturbed, and with her background who can be surprised. Difficult to take a step back, but those 2 little boys remain motherless whatever the outcome of all this. Am sure this has brought up many memories for you and Brenda for the loss of your lovely daughter, our thoughts are with you xx

Confirmed today

Very very sad. She may have had a choice, but her family didn't. :(
