If they all cost the same and flight times too, who would you choose?
-
What about Turkish Airlines , I'v always flown with them.
-
They don't fly direct from the UK or Europe to Dalaman, do they ?
-
Non of them. Turkish airlines every time but Jet2... Otherwise...
-
We flew with them from Antalya in the Winter...
-
Easyjet for me
-
Not sure I have ever looked at Jet2 or Monarch. Do they go from Stansted?
-
Wonder why Easy jet coming out tops? are they good on leg room, service, inflight entertainment, seating? just wondered?
-
Theyr'e cheap and generally reliable?
-
Flying Jet2 from Manchester for the first time this June so will see what they are like, not impressed at the moment as the flight has reduced in price by £100 for 2 of us return, thought there prices went up closer to departure, but maybe i'm wrong, won't but in advance in future, will look for some last minute bargains.
-
That should have said booked not but.

I agree they are most likely (in our opinion) to be on time, prices are good if you can get in early, and now they have gone to allocated seats the Dalaman scrum isn't the nightmare it once was (it still exists though!!).
-
Monarch fly from Luton not Stansted. Never let us down, max. delays of 1 hour, always choose our seats, book in on-line, have 23kgs. luggage allowance. That said I hope someone from Monarch is reading this so we don't have any problems on the 29th May!!!
-
No-one has voted for Thomas Cook ..... including me. Monarch for me.
-
Luton is a fair way from us Echogirl. We use Gatwick at a push but much prefer Stansted, 45 mins away. Would try Monarch if they ever came locally, hopefully Stansted will grow and we will get more choice. Fly Thomas Cook is absolute Cxxp though. Easyjet for us every time.
-
After the nightmare delay I have just experienced with Monarch and how awfully we were all treated, I am petrified of booking with them again. They have the worst record for delays. We were delayed for over twelve hours and treated like cattle. We were provided with 18 euro vouchers and that was it. There were elderly people, diabetics, babies and young children. When we eventually got on the plane back, we were all given one free drink. Most people hadn't eaten since lunchtime following a succession of false promises with our departure time. We were finally taken back to East Midlands and forced to stand (yes, stand) in another queue for 1.5 hours to wait for a coach to take us to Birmingham.
-
Cheap flights if you get them on time, plus fights have the best record of any cheap airline of taking of an
Landing on time.
But that's my opinion.
-
No good me voting as we don't have a choice in Aberdeen so have only flown with T.C. and I would never vote for them.
-
But they don't fly UK to Dalaman direct do they Savoyboy ? : :)
-
T.C. fly from Aberdeen to Dalaman ??
-
?
-
No good me voting as we don't have a choice in Aberdeen so have only flown with T.C. and I would never vote for them.
Whilst I sympathise Jacqui you do have the option of Glasgow or Edinburgh
-
I cannot vote H as we have not used another airline/Tour Company. We fly from Aberdeen as we don't want to drive three or four hours to Edinburgh or Glasgow for flights that work out no cheaper than if we go from Aberdeen.
-
I voted Monarch but it was a very close call between them and EJ. Both to me have good leg room and comfyish seats. Thomas Crook are utter sh1te in my opinion. I use them as a last resort if there are no others going the time I need to go. It is like sitting on a wooden bench seat with no leg room.
-
I don't check Thomas Cook at all now. Everything you say is correct, plus the added inconvenience of shockingly bad flight times - especially returns to UK.
-
I tried a short time ago and no matter what I did their site said I had not selected a return flight. I HAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Used to always be XL Airlines for me, oops!
-
We came back from Dalamam a couple of weeks ago with Easyjet, presumably a new plane as had very slim seats, no more than 2 inches, which gave extra legroom.
Hopefully this will be the future of all seating.
-
Wish I could get a direct flight from
Heathrow to Dalaman as it's just 6 miles up the
road.
-
EasyJet for me, more leg room.
-
Monarch for me as I like the wide bodied aircraft and the 20% family discount even better ;D
-
Monarch for us because they are good flights and we get 23kg as well. Main reason is Tesco Clubcard though. Saves us a fortune :)
-
Easy jet had us sat on the plane for an hour while they explained how the plane has to fly over mountains to get to Turkey and so the plane is very cold.. They needed to get the fuel that they were putting in to the "correct" temperature!! Not that it was late landing and they still needed to refuel..The captain also said that he could make up the time but the flight was 4hours 50 mins.. We had soup and a bacon sandwich both inedible.. Not impressed.. We are using them again in August so we will see if things improve.
-
Easy jet definitely.
Good leg room, no reclining seats so no one in your lap.
Unlimited weight hand luggage.
Last flight over was great as regular updates about where we were and mountain ranges to look out for and never been delayed with them.
Turkish Airlines definitely best over all, if only they flew direct.
-
Flying out a coupe weeks ago the new Easyjet seats make a huge difference, reasonable comfort, not reclinable and a lot more leg room due to slimmer design! Like many I guess it's usually which airline fits plans at best cost, although if a straight choice will avoid TC with their poor service and 5kg hand luggage limit.
-
EJ when it works, works well. Newer planes, better seats, timing generally good over the years, beats all of the others from Gatwick.
Monarch could do with upgrading their planes as the seats are appalling especially for a 4 hour flight same as for TC.
KTHY was OK from Gatwick at the price but they went bang, not literally a couple of years ago : :)
Was lucky that due to information posted on CBF I was able to secure 3 returns with EJ this year including extra leg room for a very reasonable price, so thanks for the info those that posted.
-
It's a shame Ryanair haven't got in yet. That would shake prices up a bit. Love them or hate them the planes are good and the legroom is more than adequate.
Got a Monarch for £260 each this year with 23kg plus hand luggage and seat choice. Flying end of May.
Big plus was being able to convert £200 Tesco Clubcard vouchers into £300 off the flights.
-
Easyjet every time for us. Never had a bad flight with them.
That said, for some unknown reason, we are flying with Thomas Cook at the end of May. I think they worked out cheaper than EJ so booked them. I'm panicking now, reading all the bad reports about them. Good job it's a one off!!!
-
Easy jet for us too, when we fly early in the season from Bristol, I just wish they flew from Cardiff too, we have to use TC from there, they have got to be the worst airline we have ever used.
-
I remember in 2004/5 there was a campaign, possibly started on CBF, to try and convince Easyjet to fly from the UK to Dalaman. They had somewhere on their website where you could make suggestions, and the idea was for hundreds of people to suggest Dalaman as a new destination.
Of course it was the stuff of dreams - the chances of Easyjet flying to Dalaman was just too ridiculous back then.
-
Pegasus are doing Gatwick Dalaman this year, just on Mondays, will be interesting to hear what they're like, not certain without checking but think Stanstead to Dalaman too.
Looking at UK flights for July and they're cheaper as baggage is included in the price you see and option to add more.
-

No but back then GB air flew from Gatwick but was operated by British Airways and when that service stopped EJ took their slots and it just went from there, thankfully :)
-
Only tried Thomas Cook and was delayed 6 hours +! Trying Easy jet next Month so will vote then.
-
I would walk rather than use Pegasus again!!!!
-
Easyjet without a doubt .
-
Easyjet so far but still have to fly with Monarch.
-
Monarch's new seats are awesome! They don't recline and the legroom is second to none. To be honest it's not worth paying for the extra legroom seats now either.
The tablet holder is a great idea as well.
Flying Ryanair to Faro in October. I always book seats now though. Price was the main reason.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/16/vezyzuqe.jpg)
-
My experiences of Monarch were all poor - especially flight delays - so I was not exactly happy that we booked Easyjet out and Monarch home last October - but I have to say they were first class! Easy check in, very modern plane and on time. But overall I'd still vote Easyjet.
-
This year we have surprisingly flown Thomas Cook (twice already) and have booked again for next month as the flight times and prices have suited us 07.30 out and 14.30 return out of Gatwick and the have been about the £500 for the two of us including 20kg....not going to say a thing about delays as not trusting fate!
-
I usually fly with Jet2 from Newcastle as there's not much choice now, I hate to have to do Thomas Cook as the legroom is diabolical I'm only 5ft and still I'm scrunched up for 4hrs + so you can imagine how uncomfortable it is for my hubby who is 6ft, luggage allowance is also a stingy. having said that Jet 2 used to fly early morning which was great now its late afternoon they advertise discounts on flights as they are doing right now but the flight prices go up and up so they are not offering anything in reality, I have been watching the same flight for a few weeks now and despite all their offers its almost £100 dearer now ? but the leg room and luggage are very generous and always had a good flight with them.

Not good news for Monarch:
http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/business/Companies/article1447627.ece
Very sad news but I can't help but say perhaps if they treated delayed customers better, this may not have happened. I still can't bring myself to fly with them after the last episode.....
-
Not good news for us either - just reduces the options for flights to Dalaman and the competition for bums on seats :(
-
For the last two years we have used Easyjet from Manchester to Dalaman. Easy online check in, bag drop and no delays at all. Previously, we flew with Thomson from our nearest airport (Doncaster/Sheffield) and didn't have any delays but their prices got ridiculous (from Doncaster/Sheffield airport anyway).
-
We've used EasyJet for the last 3 years and had no problems.
Next year we are using British Airways.
Until now I would say EasyJet have been the best by far. Once we have done the return with BA we'll let you know what we think.
