Title: This seasons prices
Post by: Scott and Lisa on May 05, 2014, 08:54:30 AM
Has anybody notice a rise in prices this season? I was expecting it, but I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet?

I think it's a bit early yet as the season only officially starts on 1st May, when the restaurants that have been closed, open up.   Give it a week or two and you will find out.

I noticed a rise and I recollect a thread about, amongst other things, the price of rice and how much a Chinese meal costs. Lots in that thread about TRY exchange rate and inflation... search and enjoy.

Never mind the efes,

Hey ! Don't you come on here telling us "Never mind the price of Efes". The whole expat economy is based on the price of Efes ! How can we work out if prices are stable or not if we don't know the price of Efes ?

 ;)  ;)  ;)

I can remember as far back as a visit to Bodrum about 13/14 years ago, an Efes was 1,000,000 tl. it was cheaper than a coke.

Dinner for 2 inc a bottle of white wine (Angora) - between 90 and 120TL on the prom.

If you are from the UK - at around £30 that's a bargain.

It still is in some places, or not very much difference at least.
