Title: Street Lighting Problem
Post by: usedbustickets on May 06, 2014, 20:18:08 PM
This photo was taken yesterday along one of the 'completed' block paved paths and roads in Calis.  Now some might spot a problem with the lamp post.  Well I have been reliably informed that there is not a problem, as you can see it is in line with the other lamp post further down the street. So there!

That's a nightmare UBT.

We often enjoyed a game of "walk the line" in the early hours after a night out in Scarlett. A lamp post in that location on the prom would almost certainly resulted in serious injury :-[

Oh my word - they can't be serious?  Please tell me that's not a road!!!
Even if only a path, H is quite right about potential injury.  Unbelievable……..

The road is not in line with the one over the far side. So I think you will find the lamp post is in its correct position but someone has laid the road in the wrong place.  ;)
Only in Turkey eh.
Dont worry they will dig it up next spring to lay drains or cables.

Sorry to add to your worries but this really is a road, not a path.  It runs parallel to the road leading to the old upside bridge from BBM.  I wonder if this will grow to be as 'famous' or rather infamous as the old upside down bridge.

There's a big telegraph pole in the middle of the road going towards the bird sanctuary in Calis.
There are at least 2 lamp posts in the middle of roads here in Ovacik.
There's also a road with a tree in the middle of it here.
I don't see what the problem is. You just drive round, surely.

We always thought it strange that in Hisaronu coming out toward the main road to Fethiye there is a road with a tree right in the middle of it.

Somebody dumped a stone coffin in the middle of the road up behind the castle in Fethiye many years ago.

Now all the traffic has to drive around it.

Dead inconsiderate.
