Am still in UK, but went to Homebase yesterday and saw some very realistic, and pretty impressive, artificial grass. Not what I'd expect to be interested in normally, but am having some trouble with my Turkish grass. It's been re-seeded over the winter, so hoping for an improvement now, but was just wondering about any availability around Fethiye. I see someone posted about it a number of years ago, but not in much detail.
Anyone know if itis available in the area, and whether it looks at all decent? (Rough costs?) Could be a solution to all the watering, but poor appearance of what I had last year, anyway!
Many thanks.

We got all the grass taken up and plastic sheeting put down and got stone chippings laid down with just some planting at various places of shrubs. It's much better than having grass IMO.
No idea about plastic grass, but I know it's expensive over in the U.K.

You can buy it from Lazylawn.

Slab it, then paint it green ! ;)

When the Queen visits the area, the grass en route is spray painted green by the council.
Fact!

I tried the slabbing and painting it green method but it buggered up the lawn mower.
One downside to plastic grass is that it is easy to steal, really. ;)

Ah -ha, but that could also be a plus-side. . . ;)

Try Saffet at the Evim Yapi Market (Ovacik Garden Centre) I am sure I saw he had or could get artificial grass on hie F/B page

Pretty sure I have seen this at the big hardware shop on the right hand side at the traffic lights on the way into Fethiye . The big roundabout where the Dolmus turns right for Fethiye and the main Otogar is straight across.

We bought our piece from Park Yapi market in Calis (near Sunday market) about 3 years ago but cant remember the cost. Its great because you just brush it. We gave up with real grass after the ants had marched away with the grass seed three times in as many months.

I remember trying to find some of this in Turkey about 2005/6 ish. It could at that time only be ordered from Istanbul and was horrifically expensive, after working out how much to have the large weed/dust patch front bit of the villa done I decided it would be cheaper to have it gold leafed :)

If you mean something like this , Paul Cherry made this two years ago.
