Title: RIP Stephen Sutton.
Post by: mary62 on May 14, 2014, 13:30:44 PM
The teenager that raised over £3million pounds has passed away. His parents must be so proud of his legacy.

A truly heroic young man, so selfless and positive.

                                                  God Bless him.

It's not the length of the journey, but what we achieve on the way.

A truly remarkable and courageous young man.

RIP Stephen

A magnificent human being and an example to us all.

Taken from us far too early but has left us being able to say "I made a difference".

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best

He lived his life every minute and did more in that short life than many people do in a lifetime.
He will not be forgotten.

Difficult to write this through the tears but those words mean so much right now John.

My wonderful, 88 year old, father was diagnosed with bowel cancer just over two weeks ago.  He is fading away, but without any pain, thankfully, and most of the time fully aware of the people around him and able to talk to us.

Our holiday to Calis, we should have flown out yesterday, was cancelled so that we could be with him and to support my mum too.

When I heard about Stephen at lunchtime today my heart went  out to his parents and family.  Such a lovely, brave young man who's life has been cut tragically short by this dreadful disease.

It makes me so thankful that I have had my dad with me, very active and independent up to the last few weeks, for so long.

God bless Stephen, R I P.

xx

Many thoughts with Marina, Highlander, and all the people who are suffering loss or soon to be losses, have been widowed twice, and can feel the pain of us all.  Life is a bitch!

Sad to think that Stephen was doubted about his charity efforts at the early stages of his condition, hope those people hang their heads in shame. He is an inspiration to us all that in facing the end of life you can still be positive, his efforts will help so many people.. R.I.P Stephen Sutton and may God take you in his arms.

Thank you kevin3, echogirl1 and Menthol.  Also Highlander for his pm.  Your good wishes and thoughts are very much appreciated right now.

Dad still with us and letting us know he still has a sense of humour, but is getting very frail now and has the use of only his left arm, but still not in any real pain.

Thanks again,

xx
