We had our anniversary there last year.  Nice meal and lovely views, but do not stay as the rooms are very basic and not worth £50 for a night.
Also, our daughter rang with her credit card and asked for something special for us.  They would not take her card, said they did not do that over the phone.   My daughter was so disappointed.

It's in the Tasyaka district, go past the big bus station and the new erasta shopping mall on your right, turn left at the traffic lights and at the next set of lights take the very small side road which is on the left, follow that road around and up the hill to the sundial.

We went back to Sundial when we were over last month.

This time with a large group - it was the birthday of one of the ladies. Can't praise them highly enough. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, the view was just as good as ever and we had a fabulous evening. The bill was surprisingly small, even though it contained a beautiful birthday cake and lots of drinks!

One of my favourite restaurants anywhere on the planet  :D

Six of us went Friday night pick up on time, service was very good, the food was at best average 2 had pomegranate chicken I had apricot chicken all 3 looked and tasted the same pieces of chicken in a brown bland sauce, the only difference between mine and the pomegranate was mine had 2 dried apricots in it.

Really sorry to hear that! Sundial was our ab fab place for a special occasion with the sun set. Let's hope he gets his act together as a few bad critics can spell the death knell.  :(

I would now say my place of choice for a special meal would be the Ada.   When it was our wedding anniversary last year we rang the Sundial and book and mentioned it was our anniversary, also book a room.  When we arrived no one bothered with us and no one made any comments or welcomed us, as said the room at £50 was a disappointment.  The evening meal was fine, nothing special, no one said a word to us about our anniversary.  The next morning breakfast was "cold" and quiet.  We left without a goodbye.
So, booked the Ada for our Anniversary this year, Phil mentioned he was bringing me for an anniversary dinner.
We had a wonderful welcome, a beautifully decorated table, lots of attention, a lovely meal and a surprise cake with candles and sparklers, baked by the Chef at no cost.
What a total difference... Longing to get back there again. :D  ;)

Yes, Lance is spot on. I know Murat very well and he would be mortified to know that you were unhappy with things. Give him another try and tell him about your previous experience.
And I'm puzzled JH whether you've had 3 at least wedding anniversary nights @ £50 a pop or are you being repetitive about just that one unfortunate experience ?

Must say scorcher, if that is the way forward then yes he should be told. From my limited experience of two or three visits just to be there at sunset with a lovely meal with friends, I have always had a superb evening. In fact I would go as far as to say that the goose bumps came out!!! ;D

We have been 4 times in 2 years nice place but the food was average on all occasions.

I've only ever found it average too. And the staff have always been indifferent. I've always been expecting more as many people say what a fantastic host Murat is, and he's never spoken to us on any of our visits.

Drinks without ice in August always annoy me, and the advertised Nescafé is ghastly and when I queried it they admitted it's not actually Nescafe.
I couldn't drink it and exchanged it for a cold drink. Shame as I would definitely have had a couple more during the course of the day. Never understand the false economy of cheap nasty coffee.

Our family went the night before our wedding, my sister had been desperate to go, was fully booked last time she was over.
My mums spaghetti bolognaise in her words was completely tasteless, and dry, without any sauce and my brother in law kept comparing his chicken casserole to Mosaik bahces, as in no comparison.
Wanted to explain to them about mums spaghetti but she didn't want to make a fuss.
It's a fantastic venue, views to die for, prices aren't much different to anywhere else, but they can't just rely on that.
With the pool and the view I'm always surprised how empty it is in the daytime, as their lunch menu has always been very nice.

I had only been at lunchtime until this year. I had 2 friends staying with me and they wanted to take me out on our last night, so I rang up the Sundial. They wouldn't pick us up (sadly), but did send us back in a taxi with another couple.
Service was good and they moved our table to a better view when requested, but the food certainly was no better than average. One of my friends ordered a steak which he said was not hot and rather chewy. I'd have sent it back, but didn't want to 'rock the boat' as they were paying. Drinks were fairly priced, and setting spectacular.
However the wifi wasn't working, which also created an issue with credit card payment.
Will go back, but what a shame the food isn't a bit better!

Can I ask why you will go back?   After that experience wild horses would not drag me back.   We decided not to bother going back after our experience.  There are places with much nicer food and also lovely views.  ;)

I wouldn't go back with my partner, but I think I'd give it another chance with friends. The atmosphere was lovely and, once we were there, they did try hard with the service, I think. If we had no better food though, you are right, Jacqui, I wouldn't go again.

i think they should at least get the red carpet out, i dont know how they have the nerve to charge average prices for average food with stunning views, what is the world coming too

Yes and keep in mind they will only pick up 4 or more people for free.
Also look at the Kings Garden who will pick you up for free with no rules. Lovely place, warm welcome, friendly staff, great food and fabulous views.  Also, entertainment on Saturday night.  Bonus, you can book here on CBF   ;)

sorry i thought you meant a maximum of 4, my local Chinese takeaway only delivers if you spend so much, i would imagine its a business decision based on expected spend as that is. Diesel prices are extreme in Turkey
