Has anyone had their duty free checked when arriving at Dalaman ? ive heard off another forum that bags are being scanned when you arrive ? thanks . also can someone clarify how many litres of spirits you are legally allowed to bring in from the uk . thanks

Nobody checked ours on arrival last week. 1 ltr spirits per person is the legal allowance, although when departing Dalaman, guy on Duty free till tried to encourage me to buy more than the 2 we were paying for. He had a selection of spirits at his till and asked if we'd like "extra" bottles

Suitcases are scanned on arrival, cabin bags are not scanned as there is no scanner in arrivals hall.

They were scanning bags on the way out of arrivals in April

We were not scanned when we came in last week. However when we came in January (landed at domestic terminal but collected hold baggage at international terminal) we had both hold and hand luggage scanned. There is now a scanner on the left hand side just as you depart arrivals.

I think the scanner has been there for yonks but I have never seen it used.
We took 9L between 2 of us in last month. Good job we had wheels on our hand luggage. ;)
