Title: Tea Bags
Post by: Susiepink on June 13, 2014, 14:54:56 PM
Does anyone know where I can buy decent tea bags from, I'm desperate for a good cup of tea ! My supply of Yorkshire tea bags ran out a month ago and since then I've tried all the brands I can find and frankly nothing comes close to drinkable. It doesn't even look like tea, it's a horrible grey colour, urghh.

Lipton's Yellow Label Tea.  My husband and my daughter love it and they have stopped selling it in the U.K.
We brought back two of the largest boxes.

You just can't beat a good 'ol Yorkshire Teabag. It was the only thing that I asked people to bring with 'em when we lived there.

That's one thing I will miss.....can't beat Yorkshire Tea and the Yorkshire Gold is good too.

That said, it really doesn't taste the same when it's not made with Yorkshire water!

Hi, that's really kind of you but I am going back to UK myself in July so I will be getting stocked up then, however I'm sure your generous offer will be useful to one of the other CBF members !

Can't think why. Dogus siyah cay is very good, we bring our own teabags but if we ran out, we wouldn't be buying Liptons.

I've tried the Liptons and they are so weak I can't get any colour in my tea, I'm using two bags for one cup of tea, and even then the flavour isn't right. I suppose it's all down to individual tastes

Well, I hate tea and don't drink it, however, quite like a small cup of Cay.  Watched Phil make a cup of Lipton's Yellow Label today and it was deep brown.  He has been bringing it back for years now and he and my daughter are addicted. Yuk...give me a cup of coffee any day than that poison they call tea.

Strangely enough I know that  ;)....however, a small cup of Turkish Cay without milk when offered to me by a local in Turkey is fine, I can manage to drink that,  but making and drinking large cups of tea with milk does nothing for me... I much prefer a cup of cappuccino.
