Title: bagpuss/Carol Bostan
Post by: mercury on July 15, 2014, 11:56:21 AM
We went to The 3cs shop (of course) to catch up with them and saw a display of Carols paintings. Wow!!! She is very talented.. Who knew? When she was slaving in the kitchen... Very impressed to say the least... They are very light and would be easy to take home.. This trip we bought one of Nichola's lamps from The Mosaik but will definatley buy one next trip...   Have a look at them.

I was hoping to bid for one at the 3cs auction earlier in the year but my husband who is on strong medication needed to go home before the lot became available. Will certainly be looking her up when we are out in Sept.

Carol is not one for using CBF to advertise so allow me to on her behalf - don't buy these from the website they are on, contact her directly but here's the talent being spoken of:

We have a number of these prints for sale in the 3Cs shop, what we don't have we can order for you & Carol is generously donating a % to the charity.

Carol will also do commissions, for example a dervish in the colour of your choice, portraits, pets, your favourite photo etc. Her art work is just superb, she's way to modest to be pushy with advertising but honestly everyone should know how fantastic her work is.
As Keith said contact her directly after looking at the website as the originals and prints are much cheaper if you buy direct in local currency.

So pleased to see somebody plugging Carol's fantastic paintings. I am lucky enough to own End of an Era (Calis Canal), Ottoman Dervish, Ottoman Seas and Dervish in Bronze  :) Two are already at home, the others I will be picking up from Turkey next week. All bloomin' marvellous and alive  :)

I am another lucky recipient of Carol's art work.I have the original Blue Dervish,a print of a whirling dervish, one of her first abstract acrylics and a personal pic of 3 of my cats.Have also bought originals for my sister and a couple of friends. All have travelled well to the UK in my suitcase.Have got an order for a couple of more prints for friends in Adrassan near Abtalya too.Carol was just telling me that she is going to branch out into greeting cards. These will have an insert of a copy of a painting of your choice which she will sign and personalise for you.I know I for one will be buying quite a few of these. Will make great gifts that could easily be framed too.Not one for blowing her own trumpet,Carol supports the 3c's by donating a couple of her prints for their yearly auction and is also donating an original painting for the Soma Auction.A very talented and philanthropic young lady.

Would be very interested in the original painting being donated to Soma tomorrow. Do you know what the subject is?
