We are going to Dalayan for a day and would like to visit the Turtle Rehab Centre. Not sure where it is, once we hit Dalayan.

People describe it as "at the dolmus end" of the beach (i.e. the opposite end to where the boats go). Here is a map which you will have zoom in to find location.

Barb, from Dalyan town roundabout follow the signs for Iztuzu beach. It is well signposted and takes about 15 mins. It is a lovely drive. When you get to the beach there is a security hut and you have to pay to park, even if you are just going to the turtle rehab centre and not using the beach. It is free to get into the centre. We went 3 weeks ago and there were several large turtle patients. It was very informative and the university students working there are very enthusiastic and will tell you all about the individual turtles and their problems. On the way back to the car make sure you pop into Captain June's hut where again you will learn about what can be done to protect the turtles. Enjoy.

We had a grand day in Dalayan, so picturesque with the tombs, river and beach. The Turtle Hospital was amazing, and we saw many turtles being mended and being prepared to go back into the sea. One was 60-65yrs old and their was a tank of tiny babies. They do an excellent job there and are very passionate about what they do.
Thankyou for the directions, it was very straightforward and the views were stunning, driving to the beach.
