We have been on cruises and tried to pick the ones where you fly out to join the cruise and then have as few days at sea as possible as I personally do not like the days at sea.  This one as 8 days out of the 17 at sea.
However, if you enjoy days at sea, this is great value.

Yes that's one of the main drawbacks with cruising - they tend to go to sea.  ;D

Same with flights, most of it is in the sky!!!

Yes, they go to sea, but you can arrange cruises that do not have a lot of sea time.  We did a Turkey and Greek Island Cruise where we arrived in a different port every day, a couple we stayed for two days, this was perfect for me and for Phil as an ex Merchant Navy man, he did not want to spend a lot of days at sea either.  Cruises for us are trips to take to see lots of different places not to be on a ship for days on end.

If anyone wants a Bargain mini cruise.   I just got this email from Itison.
TODAY'S DEAL : £79 instead of up to £178 for a Newcastle to Amsterdam mini cruise for two including a ship crossing overnight in a private cabin, coach transfers, a day in Amsterdam city centre with return overnight crossing with DFDS Seaways – save up to 56%

I am not a great fan of sea days but the price includes the flights and all drinks cocktails coffee etc. The fact you fly to Grand Canaria means you should have calm waters sailing to the Carribean a real bargain.

I would love it, but my Christmas tree would feel lonely so I will have to pass, I can easily leave on 27th though ;-)

We are thinking of a cruise after Phil retires, so have been looking, but I just hate days at sea. It is so boring. I am not a sunbather, most people lie out on the deck.  I am not worried about being sea sick. I would just hate a whole week at sea.  I just want to get ashore during the day and then come aboard in the evening, have dinner see a show, go to bed and wake up somewhere new.

Jacqui we are not sunbathers but depends which ship you are on there is usually plenty to do on sea days.

Like the sound of that Andy.  It's a thought for next year.  Can you let me have details of the company etc.,
We have been to Mykonos it's lovely (where they filmed Shirley Valentine).

Quiet now, or it will turn into a CBF only cruise.
Thanks for that Andy, will make a note.

No it's not including drinks but there is an addional cost to cover a drinks package if you choose to, last year I think it was £55 per head, this year it was over £350 per party?
