Title: What are these called?
Post by: swindsor on August 25, 2014, 17:38:21 PM
I've wanted to have a drink in one of these on the beach for years and this year we did.   What are they called?  I'm sure my description of "hut" isn't right!   ;)

They are called sarivan pronounced sharivan. kosk pronounced koshk means kiosk in English.  :)

They're known as both kosk and sharivan. Depends on what part of Turkey the speaker originates from.

You won't go far wrong calling them a kosk in the Fethiye area.
