Title: Barbecue fire lighters in hold luggage

Does anyone know if it is safe to take bearbecue fire lighters on a flight if they are in the hold luggage... many thanks.

We always buy the bags of bbq bricks that you just light the bag.  We have found them the best. Saves messing around trying to light the normal bricks.  They sell these bags in Migros, Kipa etc.,

They'll be fine, stick them in beside the 2L bottles of water and turkish delight...

Ha ha :D thanks everyone... I have never heard of or seen the bags of bricks Jacqui but will certainly have a look that sounds far easier then faffing about with firelighters etc, we are not best barby starters at the best of times!!!

Most definitely not permitted on the flight in hand or hold baggage Karen.

We used to buy the bottles of fire starting gel - they are often purple in colour and you'll find them anywhere that sells fireplaces/sobas/coal & logs.
