I think...I'll carry on doing what little I do, for the benefit of the likes of 3Cs and Embrace. It may not be a fortune, but I like the fact that  I know 100% of it goes to those in need.

I'll second that. I've seen too many abuses in some of the well known charities.

And what for me makes it worse is that most of the actual charity "workers " are volunteers

while those further up do little and are very well rewarded.

I totally agree with you both, Scunner & kevin3, I think that the amount the people listed in the report is obscene & I also would hope that the money I give is going to the right place, that's why I am very particular about what I donate to.

I have always been sceptical about the motives of the administrators & management of the 'big' charities, this was enforced several years ago when I was told that one of my younger brothers was in such a position, knowing that since childhood his main motivator has been money.
