The new presidential jet, an Airbus A330-200 Prestige, landed at istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport early on Aug. 29, only one day after Recep Tayyip Erdoğan began active duty as the 12th president of Turkey.
The 90-seat aircraft, which was ordered by Erdoğan himself two-and-a-half years ago, was modified by United States-based Gore Design. The plane will be at the disposal of President Erdoğan in Ankara after it is repainted in istanbul.
